I'm not a fan of kids pageants, but I can certainly appreciate this woman's attitude. She reminds me of a "dance mom"(an actual dance mom and not that crap on tv) or "Soccer mom" . Her kid likes to do something so she supports her but doesn't go nuts or overbearing with that support.

I did pagents for years and the one thing I can say is that is that this girl has natural talent. Her mother choosing natural, no tanner, and telling her not to be robotic is going to make her stand out every time. I’m glad she doesn’t want to compromise her child and her budget for a hobby.

But judges didn't seem impressed. What do they expect exactly from these kids. They were not encouraging enough. Instead they were giving looks and being mean. I understand that they are judges but a little encouragement is never wasted. That mom was resourceful conservative and she did everything economically. So this paegent gives a wrong impression that only rich people can make it. I think paegents should not be just about beauty and looks. But instead they should give a strong message w And judges need to show that. For eg. Look at Priyanka Chopra . She is a pagent holder miss world but she is a woman of substance. Strong headed, straight forward and a matured woman who realised her responsibility towards society. These kind of paegents are giving wrong messages. This woman and her daughter were so genuine and true. And their approach towards life is so perfect

What kind of freak gives a child a dirty look while she’s on stage? It’s just gross the way most of the adults act on this show. This mother is one of the few good ones. The goal of these pageants for her is to raise her daughters confidence and do something she enjoys. She’s taught her it’s okay to mess up and never criticizes her. Some of these moms care more about crowns and trophies than they do their own kids happiness or confidence. I can only imagine what that would do to a child psychologically.

It's like a competition, & there's tons of different types of competitions for kids, & this one is a beauty & talent competition lol. & one thing I do love about these pageants is it doesn't just give all the kids those dumb participation trophies n crap, it gives the kids an opportunity to actually try to win something instead of just being like, "oh everyone's a winner!" like a lot of childrens sports and stuff do. It teaches an important lesson to give them an opportunity to win some and and to lose some cuz that's how life works.

I remember when I was trying out for something and the judge gave me a nasty look, I froze up and messed up the whole thing after that. @carlasmith1017
@carlasmith1017 5 жыл бұрын
Helena Maleki do you know what IVF means? Your either really young, or fairly old. If it’s the latter you must have been living under a rock, 😆. IVF stands for In Vitro Fertilization. In Vitro means that the females egg was fertilized outside of her body, like in a test tube or Petri dish. That’s why they use to call them test tube babies. If a women wants children but for many reasons can’t right then, she can have her eggs frozen so that when she is ready she still has viable eggs. The process requires the mother to take an injection everyday that helps her body mature more eggs. A women is born with a certain amount of eggs and when they are gone that’s it. When eggs are harvested from the mother or if her eggs are no good, a donors egg, and her husbands sperm (or a donors sperm) can be fertilized by a specialist. The doctor actually inserts the sperm into the eggs. They usually fertilize several eggs. At that point, it is just one single cell called a zygote. Then these zygotes are grown in a lab for a couple of days until the cells have split enough to be considered an embryo. The doctor then checks the embryos to make sure that they are viable and healthy. Then the doctor implants the embryo, usually more than one, into the women’s uterus. The rest of the embryos are frozen for use at a later time. So, if the mother wants more children she has that option to have more embryos implanted. If she decides not to have anymore children she can donate her fertilized eggs to other women or they can be destroyed. The latter is very controversial. So that’s what FROZEN means. I hope this answers any all questions phew 😅🤪.

Hearing a pageant mom say "no big deal" is so rare, she's a great mom
@MsBrendalina

It probably helps that the mom is smart enough to not blow thousands of dollars on dresses and tans and professional makeup for her kid. It's a lot easier to brush off a loss when the parent has the good sense to not invest an obscene amount of money into a silly beauty pageant.

@@jazzyjaz9108 Well, Alessondra actually really wanted to do pageants and begged her mom to do them. Besides, I follow her on Instagram and she's a really nice teen now focused on her school and on cheerleading. ☺

@@crazyowlgirlcncowner yeah a lot of the children want to do pageants, they're younger, and everyone goes crazy that the mom's are terrible to put kids in these pageants. Great that she's a nice teen but these pageants are still disgusting either way.

These judges could take some of their own advise before being so cruel to little girls, also the judge could've smiled to encourage Alessondra instead of glaring at the child, geez.

Jam Buds ikr , why can’t the judges (even if they don’t like the child ) ACT like the child is doing great . It will ruin their self confidence if the are only ever given “the evil eye” .

It looked like she was trying to cheer for all the kids, which I think is cool. The judge that did the fart noise and thumbs down over the dress...that was just so unnecessary.

I don’t call paying $9 for a dress you’ll wear once ‘frugal’, I call it ‘getting a bargain’.
@klienmurollo8395
@klienmurollo8395 4 жыл бұрын
J * M $9 for ANY item of clothing in 2019 IS frugal and she didn’t say it in a negative tone. She seemed proud of the fact that she uses her money for important things and charity as opposed to clothing. Plus, how do you know she’ll only wear that dress once? Pretty dress like that can go get a lot of mileage at a wedding reception, formal dinners, dances, events.

The other moms would have been freaking out when the popper didn't work. And the little girl was quite talented. I've seen a lot of the girls get up there with their moms guiding them to shake their butts and stuff instead actually letting them learn a talent. So weird.

I cannot help but wonder if the fact that this woman had to wait for longer than most to become a mother has made her all the more grateful for her daughters. She's the only non-abusive, supportive peagent mother that I have come across and I'm genuinely proud of her for treating her baby girls as human beings, not as commodities born to give them fame and notoriety.
