Thanks for sharing , nice job ,I hope the town of Grindavik, power plant and Blue lagoon remains safe and unharmed from further eruptions and seismic activity

It wont. Lava will win. BTW - Can you ship me that broken 50 sign?....I could "cough" use it for my collection. :)

Lol, I'm surprised it hasn't been stolen already.

What is most concerning is that lava cannot be stopped; only diverted. Molten rock weighs in at around 3 metric tonnes per cubic metre or more, and the volcano spewing this molten terror out puts enormous force behind it. If that wall is high enough to divert the lava, all well and good. But what if lava exceeds the wall's height, like when it encroached those two mines? I only hope the Blue Lagoon executive see good sense and keep the place closed. If, that is, they put safety before danger? 😒

I don't think the same executive has the good sense. But they are being forced to keep closed for the time being. That's something. That wall is doing an incredible job so far diverting the lava from Grindavik. I agree with your concern. If this keeps going for long it probably won't be enough.

Put this volcano killing technology on your phone. Tidbinbilla satellite dishes. This will put helium 3 into the volcanos system

I'd bet on the power of nature (aka lava) beating the fragile works of man. The Blue Lagoon is toast. Poor Walk With Me Tim had to flee to the airport in the middle of the night running away from burning lava. Not a good video to encourage tourism.
@TimeWarpIceland9 ай бұрын
Yea, its important to note that this problem is very localized to a very small part of the country that just happens to contain the most popular tourist attraction in the country 😅

Hope the guy comes back to Iceland. It's mostly burning-lava free so maybe he'll give it another chance. @@TimeWarpIceland
