I really enjoy seeing old equipment that’s still able to pull their weight and get the job done when needed. That excavator just needs a little TLC but she still has a lot of life left in her. That bulldozer can still push with the best of them. That’s a big landfill with a lot of moving parts. He not only runs a landfill, he produces a lot of much needed materials.

Same as my machine, the oil leak is coming from the brake between the drive motor and final drive. Run mine every year on the farm, placed a 18000lb septic tank with it this year!

My dad operated a Cat 245B for years digging in the local gravel pit in Oregon. I used to go down to after school and ride on dad's lap on the 245B. It was the first excavator I operated. I would go down with him to change the buckets occasionally on a satutday morning. I thought it was incredible to operate such a large machine. That is when he taught me how to operate one of the loaders at the pit.

235's had 3306 engines not 3406 engines. The Cat 225's had the 3208. The 245's had the 3406 engines.

That 225 must not have much power. My fire dept has a tanker truck with a 3208 cat. V-8 that starts really nice but now power. 55 mph max
@Monkeysic15 сағат бұрын
@triplehelper6944 most 3208 engines in the truck side only had about 250hp in the marine side they would be up to 600hp. Plus it's a V8 engine. I personally dislike all v8 diesels. 32 series 34 series and 35 series. Inline diesels are just more reliable in my opinion.

Back in the 80s' I drove a roll-off for Roy Strom Company and we had an account with Planters. A couple of times a month we'd haul a 20-yarder full of all types of peanut products to the dump. Talk about a popular pile of refuse, all types of peanut products with little more wrong with them than a crooked label on the jars of every type of peanuts you can imagine or the bags, although perfectly sealed, had gone through the sealer when the bagging material was crooked. The crowd around the pile of stuff was insane, even the dozer guys were elbows deep. We would tell the spotters what we had and they would have us dump off to the side and no pusher ever touched the pile. It would disappear over the course of the day until ever item salvageable had been picked up.

That is a long way to drive it in this condition I hope the trailer is closer. The white is foamy hydraulic oil. Wow no Pony on the old dozer, I suspect it would be easier for a single engine for earlier Japanese designers in the early day when they needed them everywhere. Nice show. I thought you were buying the first one. Such a nice one to work.
