I had the chance to actually buy the game on PS5 (deluxe edition) that dropped quietly last Thursday, but was quickly pulled from the store. I was left with an unplayable non-updated game, so I asked PS support for a refund. But hey, I was the first to see the trophies. This means the release is imminent!

one thing that i have noticed is it will only get harder and harder to get the platinum nemo becouse as the game updates and adds new levels there will be more achievements you have to get

No it only gets easier, you dont need to get all achievements its still the same amount which was like 92. Currently there are 108 achievements, so there is a lot of wiggle room now to skip the hardest achievements in the game to get plat nemo

I lost interest in the game months ago personally, between friends just straight up not wanting to deal with the copious amounts of toxic players in a silly laid back party game with Looney Toons style physics was just absolutely ruining the game down to the bone. What went from people just wanting to laugh their asses off tossing bombs back and forth at one another, yeeting each other with rubber mallet hammers to the flipping moon or just people wanting to all go mingle with enemies and do goofy "Hug Parties" or "Cuddle Puddles" just all seemed to give way to people having absolute horrid attitudes or just out to clean lobbies in a few minutes flat or less than the time it took for you to just GET INTO the match lobby. I was highly passionate about the game just for the sake it was really laid back for a game that involved absolutely clobbering each other, once people brought ego-trips and taking things way too seriously in a non-competitive game with zero ranked modes or anything counting your win/loss ratio it was an immediate uninstall for me after several months of ardent following the game through beta to many updates/battle passes. People can keep pointing fingers at Recreate and they are majorly to blame for a lot of community loss due to bad mechanic shifts...but the community in my opinion and a lot of other people on forums or otherwise even agreed that the player base was becoming the bigger issue. New platforms ain't gonna change anything if the same bad apples continue to stick around and make everyone miserable 💀

I was concerned about the decision to make nemo kart. It's a completely new genre within the game, the only thing it carries over from regular PA is the character models. Everything else is brand new requiring a LOT of work. Even though it looks nice, plays well, and is polished, it's very basic with only a single map. This isn't so bad on it's own, but leaves me with some thoughts about development going forward. There are two development paths. - Continue developing nemo kart. New map, new karts, new mechanics, etc. etc. This completely neglects regular PA as Vicks mentioned it hasn't had any new maps in 7 months. OR - Resume development for regular PA, leaving nemo kart as is. This now completely neglects nemo kart, and the singular map with basic mechanics will absolutely get stale without more development like I mentioned above. So we're now in a situation where development on either mode, leaves the other without any development for a long time, if ever, which feels bad. I would probably prefer if nemo kart wasn't worked on, in favour of more regular PA updates, but that leaves the question of why spend so much time and money on nemo kart in the first place instead of putting all that time and effort into regular PA. I think the main point I'm making is the decision to make nemo kart has left the regular PA player base feeling neglected, however if this is addressed, nemo kart will get neglected as it's a solid mode but very basic and limited. So we end up in a lose lose. Either the regular PA player base continues to get neglected, or they get tended to in favour of nemo kart, questioning why nemo kart was worked on in the first place. What are other people's thoughts on this?

I think that Nemo kart wasn’t a bad introduction to party animals but let’s be honest here it was created for a specific reason. Party animals has a large player base, I believe the devs were thinking outside of the box and wanted to add a new mode for players who were craving something different when it came to the game itself but frankly the mode itself is kind of useless. Unless your a Mario kart fan or you don’t passionately play the game to try and get better then Nemo kart sounds like it would be up your alley but For players like me I play party animals everyday and the only mode I ever play is classic. I played Nemo kart a few times since it came out but that was either because I accidentally cued in or because I was achievement hunting other than that I’m a part of the community who only plays the classic mode in quick play. I remember when they introduced smash to quick play that was a great idea because we would always play the same boring and rigged maps on quick play and the one thing we wanted before the gummy bear update were new maps and it took the devs at least two months to regurgitate ring of garfat which was a great addition but at the same time it took 2 terrible updates and half of the community asking for change in the discord. Let’s not get into the fact that they quite literally reworked the game mechanics to give other kids an advantage and when they brought back Superman punch and fling it was damn near useless because it takes all of your stamina effectively putting a target on your back letting anyone around you know to knock you out. I know I’m rambling. And also why aren’t the knockout times fixed for controller? I play on controller and whenever I get knocked out it takes me at least 3 seconds to get back up. That might not seem bad but when your on a team full of bots playing against a full team of pc kids who literally can’t be knocked out unless you perfectly time a punch or drop kick and if you do knock them out they literally just instantly wake up before you even get a chance to pick them up is totally unacceptable and unfair and the funny part is the devs know it too because this was brought up in the discord (that I’m banned from) a few months back and there was proof that wake-up times were faster for kbm rather than controller. It’s funny because whenever I run into a pc kid the game just flips the tables on me and protects them the entire game. When it comes to pc players their always hard to knock out but they can easily knock you out then your out for just enough time for them to safely throw you then you wake up right when you die. It’s funny though because they always immediately wake up right after you knock them out so if you ever try and go for them the game will literally protect them and flip the tables on you and throw you under the bus if your on controller and ever try to challenge a pc player. it’s so ironic how some simple mechanics that anyone could have learned HAD to be nerfed basically screwing over ALL console players who use controller and forcing us to adapt to the devs changes but the pc players are allowed to have literally every single unfair advantage in the book and that’s ok with them but oh Superman punch and fling just had to be nerfed so the pc kids could live peacefully it’s absolutely hilarious and when the game was barebones just punching and drop kicking I was really considering deleting the game it’s funny the devs are more focused on nerfing simple mechanics that a literal toddler could figure out (THAT PS. WERE ALWAYS APART OF THE GAME AND ANYONE CAN LEARN IF THEY TOOK THE TIME) and releasing new skins rather than producing more maps and fixing the apparent issues the game still has because that was more important. Personally I don’t really care for nemo kart it’s clunky and it’s kind of boring in my opinion but I appreciate the devs trying to think outside of the box for others but it’s just not what we needed. We needed the devs to polish the game not break down our mechanics I see so many people saying that the Superman punch and the fling are an OP exploit and those are the people that I know don’t actually know what Superman punch and fling were used for. Superman punch and fling aren’t an exploit it’s a mechanic used in sticky situations. Sure it could have been abused before the update but the only way it would connect was if someone was running directly toward you or you lined it up on someone with their back turned otherwise Superman punch is completely useless. Now if you even think about Superman punching or flinging the first time you do it you loose half of your stamina, which basically renders the move useless unless you know 100% that you’ll connect with it. The funny part is that they basically made it useless now because it rarely ever connects anymore you literally just fly into or through the person you throw it at and by the time you’ve used it once your at about quarter stamina which turns you into a walking target because it takes at least 5 seconds for your stamina to recharge and longer if your moving around so the first time you throw it odds are your going to miss then loose half your stamina then easily get knocked out by anyone around you funny right? also Superman punch and fling are not macros they are mechanics (I’ve been rambling for a minute lol) here’s the thing tho when they introduced smash there was a specific pawer that let you headbutt the ground and knock players out around you. I thought hey this is a great mechanic maybe they might introduce more new things like this in the future! Only for my hopes to be destroyed by the devs nerfing Superman punch a week later. I’m not going to sugarcoat things and say that Nemo kart was a good addition because I wouldn’t want to play the game mode even if I had to but I will say they were headed in the right direction with smash I can only hope the devs listen to the loyal part of their community if not I feel like this game that I’ve put so much time into and have grown so fond over will go under and I spent a lot of time and money on this game trying to get better but not only that but in this games prime it was fun not only to play with friends but a game you can play on your own and still have fun. That’s also why when I was in the discord I pitched a single player mode option for people who are passionate about the game and don’t necessarily need teamates and for people who don’t like how the game will que you into unfair matches if you don’t have teamates. There is so many ideas that I could literally think off of the top of my head to add into the game but at this point the games future is in the developers hands we as fans of the game can pitch as many ideas as possible good or bad but at the end of the day it’s the devs say

I haven't watched full video yet am at 2:40 so if you adress it later on in the vid, i am sorry but i just have to get this out, of the system, while it is nice that they seem to have a system to detect macro users now, they shouldn't have changed it in the first place cause a few people where abusing macros to do it, they literally punished their entire veteran player base, over a few guys doing something that breaks the game. That is not the way to handle those things, you should almost never punish the playerbase for a exploit some people use. Call me skeptical but i think while macros might have been part of why they changed it, I still think the big other part was to make it more beginner friendly and lowering the skill ceiling of the game! Now to watch the rest of the video! ALSO CANNOLI!
