Save anti-nades a little later for enemies under attack. An early nade just wears off, but a nade on someone who NEEDS heals will help secure the kill. Consider repositioning to high ground when there's nothing better to do.

@@starroseaI'm up in diamond masters area with ana. I'd suggest practicing quick scopes, those will let you keep more of your vision without being slowed down so much. Also a big one. Take your time on everything. If you force yourself to play a little slower while it might end up with you dying a bit more it will help you tighten up your mechanics so when you need to play at a frantic pace you can keep a higher average of hitting shot. You have 199 hp to land a sleep on a target that has dived you. Take a second and track them before you just fire off your sleeps. Same with quick scoping an enemy or hip firing them. That will help you climb once you get comfortable. Edit: that first sleep you fired at the monkey on point. I tend to avoid doing that if they have a low damage tank and we have something that can chase because they will most likely finish the kill and you want to keep that sleep in case you get dove. Get in the habit of checking the enemy comp so you know if you are going to need that sleep to save yourself or someone else when they get dove or if you can use it to make a play. Sleep is a very powerful tool that can take someone out of a fight for 3 seconds. Which is like 3 ana shots and a nade. So 3 seconds is a lot of value they can lose costing them the fight. Side note, if you want to do chip damage to build your ult. It seems like you are using your nade for that. If you work on quick scoping that is a more reliable option to do so. Nade should be for securing kills that you can't quite hit but only when they don't have burst potential. Like a Mei sol you can use nade more aggressively because right clicks from both of them landing direct is harder than junk, Hanzo, or something like ashe Edit 2: can honestly say your sleeps are pretty good. 20m acc on them seems to be really solid. Just really got to work on not using nade off cd for chip damage or a low possibility kill.

tips for the player: 1. it's okay to use nade aggressively. HOWEVER, currently, you aren't using it aggressively because you aren't hitting the enemy consistently with them. you're essentially just wasting a very powerful cool down. go into the practice range and practice throwing nades from various distances until you get a hang of it. nade is a little funky, the trajectory isn't super intuitive, so it does require some intentional practice. once you're able to hit your nades, you'll get a lot more value from being aggressive. 2. please dont stand out in the open. I've seen so many situations around 8:06 where you are full on standing in the middle of the open. you weren't punished 100% of the time this game, but I'm sure you've had dozens and dozens of games where you're playing spawn simulator because you were positioned so openly that even a silver dps could kill you. watch your replays from the enemy pov ;) you'll see the changes you need to make. 3. slow down! take a breath! youre panicking so often, and panic makes your aim worse. to improve your aim on Ana specifically, i highly recommend playing Ana paintball. it will help you with all aspects of Ana aim, including quick scoping (which is CRITICAL to learn, ml7 has a good video about quick scoping) and sleep dart aim. 4. re: sleep darts, sometimes its okay to yeet them across the map, but you were playing against a Winston during this game and they were getting a LOT of value. Ana hard counters Winston when Ana saves sleep dart and nade to punish Winston's dives. you never had or never used your abilities to shut down their dives, and when the enemy is playing dive, it is your responsibility to punish them because you have all the tools to do so. same with Sigma! you have the tools to shut down Sigma 5. i feel like one of your big issues is that you're trying to do too much.. you're overwhelmed because you know there are so many things you could be doing and you don't know when to do what. here's my advice: i think it will help if you focus less on trying to duel enemy DPS. you should 100% contribute damage, and if you can get a pick, great. but you were trying to duel enemy Hanzo and that is the dumbest possible thing you could do if you want to at the very least stay in silver. 6. be more proactive and aggressive with your nano. it builds pretty quickly, and the only way you'll learn how to nano effectively is by finding out through trial and error all the ways you can use it suboptimally. if you're unsure who to nano, nano your tank. it lets them play aggressively. and if you nano a tank, chances are they will go in, so you can always use it to encourage a passive tank to press W. and using it on an aggressive tank like the one in this game allows them to be aggressive without feeding, so its a good move too. that being said, it's also okay to nano dps if you are confident they will get value from it. 15:07 I don't understand this sleep dart lol even if pharah was going to barrage, a single shot would kill them. no need to waste a cooldown when a single left click will get the job done.

Probably a bit too much to take on for a silver player. Might be overwhelming. Personally I think it’s more beneficial to teach beginners how to climb through broader advice that’s easier to implement vs advice on micro plays. To get into gold from silver 1. Tango with the Fight As a support, keep yourself positioned outside of the main fight near cover. - Only move forwards if the fight has moved away - Back up if the fight comes towards you Tldr keep an arms distance between you and your tango partner (the fight), this automatically: - keeps you safer - gives you more time to react - stops you from chasing down overextending teammates Do not autopilot, remind yourself to ‘tango’ until it’s second nature. When you see a fight, think tango. 2. Practice one thing at a time If you decide on working on your nades or sleep dart or nano etc. Don’t try to work on everything at once, pick one and set goals. For example I want to work on my nade: - every game I play I will hit 5 anti nades - when I play my game I will count each one I hit - if I don’t hit 5, I will watch replay to see where my missed opportunities were Eventually you will learn through trial and error, it will become second nature. Yes the advice is very umbrella but it’s very easily implemented by beginners. Part of your ranked journey (if you’re really serious on climbing and improving) is learning basics before making exceptions to the rules.
@sethescope Жыл бұрын
@@seaottar25 I think it's a matter of opinion, re: what's best. I personally benefit from both broader and specific advice. broad advice is good because it informs your general approach to the game as a whole, it helps develop how you think about each game, each fight, etc. but specific advice is good too. personally I like giving it because it can give more immediate feedback. climbing is a long process and you're not going to see immediate results because climbing happens across multiple games. but with specific advice, you get the immediate sense of accomplishment because you can see immediate improvement. before you were doing X, but now you do Y, and that's rewarding. climbing as support can be difficult and can take time, so it's important to have small victories too. this is the kind of advice I appreciated getting when I was in silver so that's why I offer it. but having a broader perspective, like I said, is helpful too so I'm glad you shared! :D

@@sethescope oh totally agree that play by play advice does help a lot, I just find it more suitable for maybe plat and upwards. Not saying that lower ranks won’t benefit at all by micro play advice but I think a lot of the issues like panic cool-down usage, overextending for teammates and holding ult can be fixed by broader advice. Imo teaching players how to think about the game themselves results in a more well rounded foundation as they climb especially without any more external help. For beginners in silver I would give the advice I have in my previous post, get them to play a few games and then vod review one or two they picked out where they didn’t do as well. Explain with the in game examples what I think they did well and what they should have done, then I’d give them homework like the ‘play a few games where you die less than 3 times’ (if dying early is a problem they encounter).

A hard truth lower rank support players need to hear: If you compromise your position to heal an ally who is going yolo outside LOS, then you automatically are no better than them. Why? Think about it like this. The tank and dps what do they feel their job is? To kill the enemy players and maintain space. So they do a dumb thing in pursuit of that goal. You as a support most likely feel your job is to keep your allies safe, so what do you do when an ally is pushing outside LOS and needs heals? You do a dumb thing in pursuit of that goal. There is literally no difference between your feeding tank, and your support ass running after them to try and keep them alive. Either you commit to the bit and admit to yourself you're taking as dumb of a risk for the exact same reason as that tank / dps you're trying to save, or you remove yourself from the equation and hold a good position that doesn't compromise your ability to stabilize the fight, even if that tank / dps end up dying. Just, if you want to improve your mindset and rank up, the one thing you must not do is blame your tank / dps for LOS if you are trying to save them while they LOS and through this attempt jeopardize your own position and risk dying alongside them. Then you are no better than them.

@@cherrycotapie It's about perspective. If one person runs away from the team and you can't realistically follow, that's on them. If multiple people move forward and you stay behind, that's on you (even if your position technically is superior to where they're going). The main thing is, one person feeding through egregious over extension shouldn't lead to you committing the exact same mistake as them and then think "I was just trying to help them". That doesn't make your play any better than theirs cus you're both thinking you're doing your job. Also if you're in lower rank, why would you care that your team mates roast you? They're low rank players what the fuck do they know? If they knew what was important to win a match they wouldn't be low rank. Mental fortitude is an active skill, and it includes especially things like being able to ignore inflammatory things your team may say to you. Maybe they say you got diffed, maybe they call you out for having a "bad k/d", maybe they believe your "lack of healing" is the only thing that held your team back from winning a fight. Who the fuck cares. If you want to actually climb, the focus should be on improving rather than winning. Cus every metal rank player wants to win, but most have no clue how to do that consistently. So don't listen to them. Practice your own skills, seek coaching advice, and acknowledge it's a solo journey in an environment full of random people who all talk big game but have literally nothing to show for it. My core advice to you as an Ana player is to adopt an opportunistic playstyle where you literally hunt for offensive pressure (which dictates the space and angles you take), and then fall back on healing when necessary. And I don't mean just keeping people topped up, I mean ensure those that are critical don't die. That's your only "heal" job, is to ensure you save those who are at risk of dying. That's it. If your Dva is half health, sure you can heal her, but the priority isn't high unless the enemy are trying to run her over. Playing opportunistically, also dictates that your positioning becomes dynamic because in order to hunt, you have to "stalk" those opportunities. And this also means you're less likely to be targeted by multiple enemies cus you aren't sitting static in a backline or running around on the objective - cus someone who hunts for opportunities rarely want to be in the backline or on objective in the first place.

Not true. When you aim down sights you get your most accurate shot which can go through a full hp ally to heal another or damage an enemy.
