I've been feeling since the election that Spirit is challenging our faith in believing that all will be well. I think the lesson we're learning now is patience. This is a super big issue for the entire world. It's very complex and our focus has been strictly on Trump. He's a huge part of it for us, but also for the world as well, and there's others who are involved who are dangerous too. The US has never been a country to just roll over and say, "ok, you win". I believe this is going to take time, like some nightmare of a chess match. I'm really waiting to see what Judge Merchan does. Holding hope that he will order a mental health evaluation after seeing what all has happened and been said on the public stage. I believe Trump has been fed things to say that expose his mental problems, like the dogs and cats, and recently a lot more craziness that's probably been planted ideas by those around him who want him out of the way. They saw that it worked with the Ohio accusations. He took the bait. Let's hope that there's some way around Vance automatically stepping in if they uncover mental health problems that are actually diagnosed with an evaluation.

One interesting thing I have witnessed over my 20+ year tenure in dealing with legal language and its interpretation - depending on which position/side is argued (at least in the corporate world, but still applies here) is as follows: if a legal document does not mention a process, and there is a desire to perform said process, than the position from the party NOT benefiting from the position says in essence “it doesn’t say you can do that!”. The party (who may also be in a higher position of authority - even one who may now have king like powers 😉) wishing to implement the process usually says “it doesn’t say I CAN’T implement, either now does it?” At which point the party in authority takes desired action, then litigation from opposing party comes later. So the key here is *timing* - limiting the opponent’s time to challenge the action. Even if it means waiting until hours or minutes before.

@@belindafunk4514 sadly, there is nothing in our constitution that allows for a decertification. All of that would’ve had to have happened before Congress was sworn in on January 3 and then the electoral college votes were counted and certified on January 6.

I lived in California for the first 62 years of my life and the Santa Ana winds are a massive force of destruction. They used to happen four times a year and now with climate change it’s happening on a monthly basis. There are so many areas in California that are not safe to live in. We used to joke about the four seasons, being fires, floods earthquakes, and riots. It’s heartbreaking and the most expensive state to live in.
