Usyk’s footwork and work rate made it impossible for Fury to push him back.

I am getting the impression that Fury will do what he did against Klitschko. I think he is going to run all fight and throw enough to look flashy and impress the judges. The only completely convincing round Fury won was round 6. Rounds 4/5 he won but I wouldn't say they were convincing by any means as Usyk was still very competitive. The 6th round I felt Usyk got dominated but then started adjusting from the end of Round 7 onwards. The disrespect for Usyk from the media has been insane though, they never learn. It could be a very humbling night for Fury,

In terms of opinions, the first fight was probably the most bias ive every experienced. Very few accurate assessments being made, just extreme ones from either Usyk fans or Fury fans. I agree that Usyk deserves more respect but most knew that they had an agreed rematch in place prior to the first fight, so many are just wiaitng for the planned sequel. You claim Fury won 4 and 5 narrowly but for Usyk, other than (8, 9 and 10) also won his rounds narrowly. Fury cut Usyk with an uppercut in round 4, with everything else considered, that round is not even up for debate. Another example is round 2. A very close round, so what won it? The overhand from Usyk in the opening seconds or the hard body shot from Fury at the end of the round? Most of the rounds really were close. Anything can happen in this rematch. This isnt AJ blaiming his team then going in there doing the exact same thing. Dont underestimate Fury's ability to adjust.

Fury cannot manage to run and leap around like he did against Vlad. He’s far too old and shopworn to do that now. He would only manage a round and that’s about it. Your point is good- it would be a great gameplan but it can’t happen due to age now. 👍🇬🇧

In the first Fury Chisora fight Fury was able to tie Chisora up every time he got close and completely nullify his offense. That was pretty much the difference between the 2 men. In the 2 rematches from what I remember he basically fought on cruise control and toyed with Chisora from long range, breaking him down slowly and making him quit. Point being ever since that first fight I haven't seen anybody completely nullify and control Chisora on the inside like that for an entire fight, even the guys that beat him had to work extremely hard to do so. What I can't get my head around is how Chisora was able to push Usyk back for several rounds in a row, making him uncomfortable and forcing him to adjust to gain control of the fight, yet Fury who is no doubt significantly bigger, stronger and more astute on the inside wasn't able to do the same to Usyk. Though when I rewatched the fight I noticed that most of the clinching and wrestling happened late in the fight when Fury was gassed from the body punches and excessive movement, he never really tried to wrestle with Usyk early on. I have a feeling if Fury starts more aggressively and tries to impose his size early on while he's still fresh, and providing of course he has a good training camp, he can do the same thing Chisora did but much more effectively. I see no reason for Fury to try to replicate what he did the first time because it was a truly terrible gameplan. I suppose its possible Usyk is just significantly stronger than he was a few years ago and learned how to wrestle more effectively during training. Man I'm looking forward to this fight.

Rewatched the fight and had it 116-111 Usyk at the worst. He won 1,2,3,8,9,10,11,12. 4, 7 were competitive transitional rounds that buffered Fury's zenith in 5,6. 7 could have gone either way. Main takeaway is that Fury has the length and unorthodox style to cause Usyk issues in spots, he could clip him, but that dominant stretch was nowhere near as hurtful or drawn out as people seem to remember; the emotional impact of 5,6 IMO outweighs the reality. Usyk had already adjusted by round 7, and the pace and technical consistency he employed over 12 rounds was too much for this version of Fury whose legs appear to be shot and whose cardio failed him even though he was in shape (which is a sign of serious decline). Prediction: A fatter, older, now beaten version of Fury with yet another concussion on his physiological record loses another competitive fight to Usyk but Turki has it ruled a SD loss or draw for trilogy $$$.
@TheGreatest197414 күн бұрын
Fury WILL push Usyk back with big shots but he can’t do it every round. In the last fight, Usyk started very well, and it shocked Fury into reacting with power shots for 4 rounds. He won those four rounds, but that was it because Usyk changed up his game and really put it on him. He will have to do similar heroic things to win the rematch too. Fury won’t be easy to beat, especially if he fouls repeatedly again because he never gets warned for fouls like other boxers.

If Fury puts in a ton of effort to stop Usyk and fails, by round 7-8-9 he will be gassed out. It’s the reason he only won 3,4,5,& 6 then he couldn’t keep it up because Usyk changed style and was moving to Fury’s left then throwing 1-2’s right then left straight after and usyk was landing with these two rounds before they landed perfectly in the 9th.

He was getting hurt by uppercuts in the mid rounds, but made the adjustment to hold his feet in the pocket and throw at same time as Fury. Catching him with the left that started the knockdown sequence. He doesn't just "run"

It looks to me like Fury gave up too quickly in that first round. As soon as he got countered with that straight left to the body once he gave up trying to dictate and went on the move. If Fury were to absorb the punch and lean in, keeping Usyk's gloves close to his forearms he can push forward and make Usyk move on size and weight alone. To me it looks like Fury didn't even really try to do that. Maybe he isn't capable, we will see.
