If Venezuela breaks trade and diplomatic ties with Spain, it will create chaos in Venezuela. If Venezuelans can pass through Spain via the capital city of Caracas, they will have to fly to cities in Colombia like Medellin and Bogota, flights to Madrid, Spain, and by the way, Venezuelans can enter Colombia without a visa. The only European country that Venezuelans can fly to Europe is Portugal. On a Portuguese airline called Tap Portugal that has flights from Caracas to Lisbon, that is the only way Venezuelans can go to Europe and the other way is for Venezuelans to fly or have a stopover in Istanbul, Turkey, from Turkish airlines that fly to Caracas to Istanbul and then from Turkey they go to European countries. There will only be two countries in Latin America that do not have direct flights to Spain. If Venezuela is on the list, if this happens, it will be like Nicaragua, which will have to make stopovers in other Latin American countries to go to Europe. Sánchez and his allies voted *against* declaring González as the election winner. The socialists and their allies have ties with Maduro and/or support him (ex: the ex-PM Zapatero being a close friend to Maduro, Podemos openly supporting Maduro, the whole Delcygate scandal in which Venezuelan vice-PM Delcy Rodríguez illegally landed on EU soil to get some suspicious briefcases, etc). Some analysts even say that Edmundo coming to Spain was a pacted move. It is the opposition who voted in favor of declaring González the election winner.
