I like the premium houses but I don't make enough from dreamsnaps to buy them. Therefore, I purchase moonstones. I was thrilled to get the bundle with my moonstone purchase. I hope they continue to offer the seasonal bundles.

I do think the seasonal content aspect may be referring to seasonal events like Halloween (given the witchy stuff), Thanksgiving,Holiday season, New Year, Valentine's, Easter and Pride. Most which are Western or just American centered seasonal events. There are stuff like Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras, Cinco De Mayo, Bonfire Night and many many more which I can't even begin to list. So maybe they'll change up what sort of season the content will be inspired by. But then again, they do need it to be something many will be tempted to buy. And I agree in that Valley-inspired basically just means it's more originally designed rather than taking inspiration from specific Disney IPs.

Ahhh, that’s a great point, Marthe! There are still so many global holidays they could pull inspiration from, so I’d love to see them branch out and introduce more unique seasonal content beyond the usual Western holidays. But as they're Canadian, who knows 🙈 And yes, ‘Valley-inspired’ definitely seems to mean more original designs rather than straight from Disney IPs!

I really enjoyed your speculations, I have so many questions for GL lol. I really really want to know what percentage of their player base buys moonstones, I haven't yet but I support everyone that does because it helps drives more new content. On Reddit I've come across a few discussions about spending money on Moonstones and a ton of people commented and shared that they've spent which was incredibly interesting to me. This was a fun video thank you!

Ahhh, thank you Alli! I’d LOVE to know that percentage too-it’s always interesting seeing the discussions around moonstone spending. Especially as I haven't spent anything! It’s great that DreamSnaps gives a way to earn them, but I do wonder how sustainable it is for Gameloft long-term and that's something I bring up often. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 💜

@OscarsCosyCorner I definitely think players are spending money on Moonstones from what I've gleamed off of just Reddit alone. Personally, I think the biggest threat that they are facing is losing their player base or new players not continuing it to play the game when they buy it due to all of the MAJOR glitches and bad programming. Not to mention GL is incredibly close-lipped about what theyre fixing and for how long. As a company, theyre not transparent and of 5 people I know playing the game, none of them play any longer because of the crashing, glitches and problems the game suffers. I think retention is a big issue for them. It also takes them way to long to fix issues in the game world when they do actually fix them. But hopefully the game stays alive!

I’ve wondered the same about the “seasonal” schedule and I think if we don’t see one around Valentine’s Day or at least around the spring equinox, then it may be a safe bet that they nixed the idea altogether. While I liked the bundle, I recall people griping about it. If the feedback wasn’t great they may have figured we won’t miss it. It’s possible that the “recommended” and the sales in the premium shop were introduced as an alternative (if my timeline is correct). Personally, I’d like to see the seasonal bundle return.

Yeah, if we don’t see another bundle soon, it might be safe to assume they’ve scrapped the idea. I think the price was a sticking point for a lot of people, but I do think if they adjusted that then a seasonal bundle could work really well. Depending on the items, of course! I would love to see them try again! 💜

@OscarsCosyCorner if they offered some kind of item with each regular moonstone bundle, they might sell more. I bought the cheapest moonstone bundle once, but that’s it so far. If they bring something I like better than that first outfit bundle, I do still have some of my birthday money from a few months back lol. I’m kind of hoping they will eventually (not necessarily in a moonstone bundle) have some Saint Patrick’s day inspired stuff. I asked for that in the survey where they asked what events we’d like to see.

They need to do two star paths one that’s smaller for group of peeps that works and doesn’t have time to play a long time One for longer more grindy starpath

The free Star Path is a shorter version with less rewards, Cheryl! You don't even have to pay Moonstones to do it! 💜

That’s a great question! If they do bring seasonal bundles back, I’d love to see furniture included. A themed set for each season could be really fun! Hopefully (if they do another) they experiment a bit more with what’s included, but I'm not 100% confident in that as "cosmetic" seems to be referring to avatar clothing/hair etc. I feel like they might've said furniture if that were the case. But we'll see, Teddy! 💜

If it wasn't for the fact it came out when it did. I might had brought it. Considering I had gotten extra money in Oct and could had afford it. But there was the fact that I knew the DLC was coming out in Nov and I couldn't afford to do both. And with xmas and such coming up as will. I had to also make sure I had money set aside for the holiday itself. I think it is a cool idea and a good way to get people to buy the moonstones. But I wish they ether put it down to one of the cheaper moonstone bundles, or even just make it so if you buy the cheapest one you get one item, and if you buy the more pricey moonstone packs you get more items. Because most months I am only able to buy the 2500 moonstone pack because of things like needing to pay bills, buying food and other things I need. Only the rare times I get extra money from work, or whatever can I afford to put more money into the game. As much as I love this game and am willing to keep buying moonstones every month aside from a couple of months I couldn't because something came up. I sadly can't afford to pay that kind of money towards it.

That totally makes sense! Timing is *such* a big factor when it comes to these kinds of purchases, especially with the DLC and holiday expenses. Tbh, I think a tiered system like you suggested (where different moonstone bundles come with different rewards) would be a great way to make it more accessible for everyone. I'd definitely be more interested that way! Hopefully, they consider adjusting things in the future so more players can take advantage of these offers! 🤞💜

I would love to see a Valentine’s Day or a spring outfit for the next seasonal bundle. Like hear me out, they can add two outfits one the gals and for the guys. Now if they were to do two outfits for Valentine’s Day, they need to have a pink dress with pink heels, two pink bracelets and maybe a headband? Not sure what else. For the guys have like a white vest or black one with a red shirt and red blazer and red pants with black or white dress shoes. If not for Valentine’s Day, then for Spring/Easter something like I said for Valentine’s Day but in pastel pink, purple or yellow. For the guys can have light blue suit and etc or a light blue or green button down shirt and pants with white dress shoes. I know this isn’t the best. But it’s what I’m thinking. We could have new outfits from a star path focusing on Aladdin and Jasmine and probably 15th century India but maybe focusing on Valentine’s Day. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s such a fun idea, Jamie! A Valentine’s bundle with distinct outfits for different styles would be a great way to make it more appealing. One of my biggest complaints is that the male avatars get forgotten about CONSTANTLY (Sally's level 10 even just recently...) And you know that I love the idea of an Aladdin-inspired Star Path-feels like a perfect fit! 💜

@OscarsCosyCorner oh, the Sally quest was a total missed opportunity. They should have had the dress and a matching suit. Since we already have Jack’s suit, the male suit could be patterned like Sally’s dress. Actually, I would not mind having a dress patterned like Jack’s suit come to think of it lol.

I actually have a theory that the floral ensemble bundle that showed up in the moonstone shop was actually meant to be bundled with moonstones, but Gameloft decided against it, either because it wasn't as big a money maker as they hoped or there was a lot of negative backlash. But, this might just me being cynical, lol.

I also skipped the witchy outfit bundle. $30 USD is just too much. I'm also not a huge girly girl (she says, as she wears skirts every week in dreamsnaps, lol), so I'd have been much more tempted to buy my first ever moonstone pack if it were $10 cheaper and had included a male set of separates too. I'd be very tempted if there was a spring themed one (that's not all bright pink) with a nice flower crown too, as that's something completely unique.

I never spent any money in moonstones besides the dlc's. I make a decent amount with dreamsnaps and I don't suffer from fomo, I'm fine with not having everything the premium shop brings. This week I didn't even want to buy anything, it was easy to save for the next uptade. And even though I don't buy moonstones, I still have a ton of great items i bought from my dreamsnaps rewarding. I really love this game and I try to support it by buying the DLC's because I can't spend money every week. I feel Gameloft is super generous with players for giving us a way to get free moonstones and I worry if they are actually succeeding at making enough money like this. I know a LOT of players got the seasonal cosmetic bundle. Maybe it just wasn't enough.

I completely agree-Gameloft has been pretty generous with free moonstones, but it does make me wonder how well the system is working for them financially. I've brought it up a few times, actually! I guess we’ll see if they adjust things in the future 👀

I'd rather them spend the time making signature or dream bundles with actual quests ND storyline to breathe life back into characters. I think if they do go forward in these bundles it should be on the 10$ or 20$ as well, since probably most of their customer base is in America and we're all struggling the 30$ is a bit much especially when I'm already doing well in dreamsnaps and have no need to buy moonstones

I wouldn't be opposed to that, Brittany! And I totally agree that locking it to the higher tier won't work for everyone at the moment. However your point about doing well in DreamSnaps is actually exactly why I think they ARE locking it to the higher tier. It's better to have a smaller number of people purchase a higher price bundle than a higher volume of people purchase the lower bundle. So they're really targeting those who can't/don't do DreamSnaps for Moonstones as a way to convince them to spend more money. Shady? Probably!

Since DDV follows the Sims model of offering Expansion packs alongside the base game, I think they should continue that practice by making Sims esq Clothing/Furniture pack DLCs instead of doing these Seasonal Bundles.

That could definitely work, David! A dedicated fashion or furniture DLC pack might make more sense than limited-time seasonal bundles. It would appeal to the decorators if it didn't have any quests and could be pricerd accordingly. It’d be nice to have themed sets that aren’t locked to a short window of availability! 💜

Im strongly starting to think GL bought a dodge calendar of wish as their timings for holiday stuff is a bit off. Halloween stuff a week or too after halloween, christmas items in january im half expecting valentines stuff in march at this rate. The amount of content is great but they are missing a trick by not having this stuff before the holiday. Its giving bargin bin decoration/ stock clearance feel without the massive discount prices

LOL! The timing has definitely been a bit off! Even way back to when I started playing last year. I get that they probably work on a set schedule, but it’d make way more sense to release holiday items before the actual holiday 😩 Hopefully, they adjust for future events! 💜
