Will Wuthering Waves Be The Next Genshin? (Nah)

Bro really thinks genshin is better because of the story when Wuthering Waves is focused on combat. "I Would not play genshin if it was not for the story" yeah because Genshin Sucks on everything else. The only thing Wuthering Waves NEEDS to do better is optimization, in wich they are already working on.

true wuthering wave's biggest draw is its amazing combat, but its still a role playing game with a story. it clearly has a lore that it wants to tell, a story it wants you to follow, and future big updates will expand mainly on its story, and not the combat. you might only see wuwa as a combat game thus you might be ignoring the storytelling. that might be a good way to view this, as so far, i'm not sure if the storytelling can improve. hopefully it does. most gatcha games do try to tell a story, some succeed and some fail. and i think that story is more important than gameplay. some might disagree. im not defending genshin too much for storytelling though, the bloated dialogue is terrible and the reason why i quit. but wuwa has been even worse and if it wants to stay relevant with a healthy playerbase, i feel like improving the storytelling is the way to do it.

There is no such thing as Genshin killer. These games were not developed to overthrow Genshin. These players are the only ones who makes this an issue. You love genshin, no problem, no need to hit on every game that would be similar to genshin that you think that it's such a threat.

well whether these games were developed to overthrow genshin or not is in the mind of the devs/presidents themselves so i can't comment on that, but it's clear that people do want a genshin killer for their own reasons. the annoyance here is we hear about a genshin killer so often and people not learning that it isn't going to happen, since it takes several factors to be better than another game, and people often only look at 1 factor (the trailer) and immediately decide it will be better. and yes, at the end of the day, if you like a game, no problem. even if everyone else in the world dislikes it, its ok for you to like something.

We also have to accept that one other annoyance is judging a game on it's first day against a game that is already well developed. We have to accept that both sides are having illogical reasons. But the bottomline is that people should understand that nothing is going to overthrow genshin which is already on its 4.7 i believe, and wuthering waves will further develop. This conflict between hoyo players and kuro players has gone long enough since PGR and honkai impact.. We all love playing these game and should stay as that..

I respect that opinion. And true, we both want this genshin killer issue to end and have both games go develop further and be better than what they are. There is actually no point this genshin killer myth.

@@huyle-ob8rg yes monstadt was boring but the story took a step up at liyue. inazuma was ok. but even being "ok" isnt very common in gacha games. with the exception of a few good ones (nikke, FGO), most gacha games have boring stories. i made this video considering the overall quality of storytelling in the average gacha game.

For my honest opinion. I take WW as positive overall. It adds compeitition in the market which would push out more QoL changes and/or content for the games already out. WW is pretty rough around the edges but still a solid game nonetheless for being a V1.0. I'm already content that its cross platform and it being coop. I enjoy genshin but coop leaves more to desire. It would be nice if there were more quest accessible during coop play in genshin.

Honestly, the only real problem with genshin is its management, no one needs a killer, its a good game we don't want it dead, but healthy competition will at least force management to treat its players better

@@Kiko-es6xx exactly why i said why are we stuck in a time loop. i played wuthering waves yesterday and while the combat was great, the story was as predicted, terrible. within a month (or weeks) this game will be forgotten like tower of fantasy
