The best part of Willam's beatdowns is the fact that his witticisms are derived from a place of education, intelligence and experience. He makes so many references to seemingly disparate and mildly obscure bits of pop culture, Americana, history, the zeitgeist and academia; he's our Patton Oswalt in a dress and wig. It's fun to be insulting and judgmental, but there's something about adding erudition that makes these videos classic and incomparable.
