Knee slice will be a new part of my drills - thanks. What I like is planks on a gymnastic ball with extended feet, then crossing the feet to make your hip twist. Very good for strong core

Bro does building muscles make me less athletic? And less functional?
@willbrooksofficial4 ай бұрын
@@harshaltheboss it can, but you would have to build a ton of muscle for this to be the case. Imagine a professional bodybuilder trying to move with the fluidity that jiu-jitsu requires. It’s not going to be pretty. Now, I’m not saying that the tipping point is becoming a professional bodybuilder. I’m sure you would lose athleticism and functionality well before you became a pro. I think what’s important to focus on as you build more muscle is flexibility and mobility. These are two aspects that many who build larger amounts of muscle do not focus on. Personally, I like to weight lift and include functional training in my regimen. I think if you do the same while focusing on flexibility/mobility, you’ll do great.
@harshaltheboss4 ай бұрын
@@willbrooksofficial ya bro so what's the functional training?
@christiankennedy94174 ай бұрын
When you roll, put you the arm straight on the mat (behind your back). Use it as an extension of you shoulder line. Then as you are coming down, use the other arm straight as an extension of the same line. You really want to become more aware of that shoulder line, so you are rolling from shoulder to shoulder. In the video it goes from shoulder to the back. Besides rolling, just spending a lot of time in the inverted position, and play around more and more, is also something I would recommend.
@willbrooksofficial4 ай бұрын
@@christiankennedy9417 love that. Keep in mind there’s more than one way to do this one. Love the recommendation spending more time inverted while also playing around more. Thanks 🤙🏼
