I've been using Mlut for ages and I find it such a pain because it constantly wants to be updated, this is sooo much more helpful. Now all I need to do is make more videos to edit and play with some Luts! Another great video Will!

Hi! Custom lut is a default effect included with FCPX but was only introduced a few updates ago. Make sure your FCPX is up to date and it should show up.

I use epidemic for all my music, they have a KZbin licence for £10 per month which allows unlimited use on your channel. If that is still too much for you consider looking at audio jungle you can purchase tracks for much less but you have to search a lot harder to find good quality.

You should be able to select reveal in finder from the drop down list and then just delete the ones you want in finder and the list FCPX will update. Hope that helps 👍🙏😎

You probably need to expand the option, find the custom lut section in the inspector and cluck "show". hope that helps

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but does anybody know if there are issues with moving your LUT source files after they have been applied to a project? Is it just as simple as re linking after moving (in my case to an external hdd for space,) or will this cause major issues?

Yeah you will have to relink them but it should be ok, worst case scenario you’ll have to reapply within timeline once re added

In the effects browser it is in the colour category. Drag the custom lut effect onto the clip and then the effect options will show in the inspector when the clip is selected 👍🙏😎

Make sure you are in the "root" folder (often called macintosh HD) and not a user folder (normally your name or macs name)

Hi yes, its the same process as in the video, but you just delete the files from finder. just bear in mind that if you have previously used the luts in a project, if you reopen that project they will be missing media. hope that helps
