These interviews are usually there to plug something, my guess is that at his age he doesn't feel the need to do this and is smart enough to make sure there is not some clause in his contracts which doesn't force him to do it.

One of the best actors alive. If you're familiar with his vast body of work (doesn't seem like a lot of the commenters in this video are), it's apparent that Dafoe can look and act like just about anybody he wants. Even his joking Mick Jagger impression rang true. He's a born actor, and a truly decent human being. Rare combination.
