This is almost like tic - tacing a house. We use to take a fish hook with a line and hook it to the rafters of the house, stretch out the line and tie it to a can and then rub pine resin on the line. It would make a bunch of noise in the house and scare the heck out of people.

It is an amazing instrument, and a wonderful piece of innovation. Lose all the pageantry and gimmicks in the live shows though I reckon. It’s superfluous and distracting. It doesn’t even need that drum machine. Strip the fat, expose the heart.

The pagentry is the act. There is no sound coming from those strings. The tension would need to be incredible to produce a note and it would impossible to keep it in tune Imagine the tension on a guitar string then multiply it by about 100000. The whole thing is bullshit.

@@Elephantstonica The point Im making is the music is an illusion. The strings are just too slack a lot of the time to make a sound. I have looked for a " Behind the scenes " video to see him tune and I can find nothing. If you can find something please forward to me.
