William Collins Jr Fieldlore EDC Fixed Blade Part 2

There will be an outdoor review coming up in about a week. I had been meaning to do it but we have had rain everyday. Even though I am far north in W.V. we have been getting bad weather pushed to us by the hurricane. I absolutely love the knife, it is a great design! And yes, I have now been bitten by the multigrind bug. In the past I discounted them mostly because of the Tracker. There was something about it that I disliked. It seemed like too much of a compromise to do anything well and fit too much into the "survival mentality" rather than being a good knife that can be used everyday.

@Martello1847 Me too! I think the next one will be about perfect. It takes a few iterations to get a knife really dialed in.

nice knives. they both seem to serve a purpose. strange they are so close in looks,size etc, but really made for a bit different tasks..

They were both made to be edc fixed blades small enough to pocket carry. This size is about the limit for a comfortable pocket knife. The sheath plays a big part in that.

Yes, I will make knives to sell. So far I have not advertised it or made it known because of time. In the near future that may be changing. I am hoping to get into making a knife or two a week and see how it goes. I work mostly with 80CrV2, O1, and A2. Magnacut, Cruwear, and a test with S90V are next. Yes, they are very different than the norm, but it will grow on you if you ever get to try one.

Don't knock it until you try one. Until then you don't know what you don't know.

@@LastChanceKnives your design makes more sense than the "original". As for the "William's", why divide the already short blade in two sections? Why that "ridge" created by the front grind plunge line, why not let the grind flow seamlessly into the other grind? Why not a continuous edge line instead of that interrupted line with that "angle" (or "tooth") between the two grinds? Why the "recurve" of the so short scandi section, what's the gain? Mora does some similar two grind blades but without interrupting the edge line. Sacrificing blade lenght for what? I haven't handled/used that knife (William's), but just by looking at it it seems to me that there are features which stay in the way of an optimal use.

I like fold over better than taco. Smaller and great for belt carry. I never pocket carry. I disagree with the handle opinion. I like your knife far better! Is the daily grind version 1 for sale? Also, I need to get some of your paste . Been talking to Terry’s knives and man stuff . He recommends it !
