I like how you talk about the forward lines, power play and how the goalie did but you have forgotten about the defensive lines. Looking forward to next podcast and the total lines and how they all did

JD is not realistic ....wants better production but not realizing we got no talent on the Wings

Michkov v. Celebrini comparison has little value since they are from different drafts. And Celebrini wins that comparison anyway. The real comparison is obviously is Michkov v. Smith since we could have had either one. Michkov is already influencing games while save a couple of games, Smith has largely been invisible. But that could change. Way too early to reach any conclusions. Michkov was just a healthy scratch for 2 games so he's obviously still learning as well.

We could not have had Michkov. Please stop.

@@KNU_TV We absolutely could have - we picked Smith 4th overall. Michkov went 7th in the same draft. A lot of people in the community, myself included, were very upset by that at the time. I hope Will Smith proves us all wrong.

The numbers aren't great for Smith but he did save a goal there towards the end of the game.

I hate the shootouts

I'mma go a step further and say that I hate the 3v3 overtime as well. Players have figured out that they can just stall with posession and play it safe for the whole overtime. In an attempt to make the games more exciting, the NHL has made them worse

Michkov is the best prospect of the lot. Clearly a point per game producer already. Yes he needs to work away from the puck but he has the magic.

Was smith considered a poor skater coming out because he looks very slow and always seems to be getting closed in on the moment he gets the puck
@insanum6668 күн бұрын
I think it's something he'll need to work on. But I think maybe he's stuck in his playstyle with BC where he was kind of slower and waiting for the right moments, which works when it's easier to win the battles for open ice. Not gunna work as well in the NHL. Celebrini finds more success because he is able to accelerate quickly in the O zone and create more space in the open ice (2nd goal V minnesota)

@@insanum666. Makes sense because it looks like smith is the slowest guy out there in most nights

I actually think his skating was a highlight in his draft profile, ironically. Not his top speed, but his agility, edges, and mobility were definitely things that were talked about. I think we see some of that at this level but he definitely needs to work on his explosiveness and first stride.
