There's too many dangers, toils and snares I have already gone But his grace fills my heart with fear And I know he's gonna bring me home

I found this through the PBS Documentary by Ken Burns. He didn't sing the version, but I loved the song. It ran in the background during one section. I tried to pull it up and found William Ellioltt Whitmore. I love his primitive vocals and musical performance. I think this type singing is what was probably done back in the 1800's and before. I like primitive so much so I am a bit biased. As we all know music appreciation is subjective. His music gives me chills!!!

I'm commenting again. How come no one has commented in 8 months on this masterpiece??? Have Mercy, he is incredible. It's a shame he's more well known in Europe than in his own country! Go WEW!!! Thank you for putting this up. I love it! Moppet

It was good. The Morehouse College Glee Club owns this song for me. The version on the "School Daze" movie is what I call moving. I have to say, though, I like old boy.
