My cousin told me he wasn't that good looking. I say he's at least as good looking as Audrey Hepburn. I mean she's adorable don't get me wrong. But he's not the dog in the couple.

I saw the film PICNIC in 1955 in Cabo Verde, SVicente. In my youth I enjoyed the great work of Kim Novak & William Holden. So nice love story ... I will never forget the sound track of this marvellous film.

I watched this movie on TV back in 1974 when I was 14 and was in some way moved by it. I hadn't seen it again since. Now 2024 and I'm 64, as I was browsing some movies to watch online last night, I saw the title "Breezy" and subtle faint memories of it came trickling in my mind along with the song's melody. I watched it to check if this was the one I faintly remember watching in the '70s, and it was indeed. Happy to have found it. Amazing that after 50 long years, bits of this film stayed somewhere in my memory after I had completely fogotten about it in the past 5 decades. Such a beautiful movie. I love it 10x now than I did in 1974.

I love this movie so much. William and Kay were absolutely perfect in these roles. I can't believe it wasn't a big hit and surprised that Kay didn't become a much bigger star than she is.

I agree, this movie handles this topic so beautiful and with taste, great actors, great director, great diagloges, Kay was great but it was William that stole my heart with his performance here, overall a must see movie for sure

I saw this movie in 1973..I was 13 at the time and never forgot it. I thought the edited for TV version was better than the R rated version. This movie touched me deep inside, especially the way it ended..when people talk about good movies today they dont know what a good movie is.

Saw this movie recently on TCM. William Holden made this work that another actor would not have made it work. Holden had a sort of world weariness about him. He looked every bit 54 years old and more.

I cant imagine anyone else being Frank or Breezy as William Holden and Kay Lenz
@kennyglesga Жыл бұрын
Very world weary, especially after his temporary split with Breezy. It was funny to see him getting out of bed, dragging himself about his fancy house doing everything alone again, parallels with old Ebeneezer Scrooge. lol

This is one of my favorite William Holden movies directed by Clint Eastwood- I watch this and I get transported back to the 70's....boy do I miss the 70's. William Holden felt like he was too old to play the role of Hal Carter in the movie "Picnic" but he is such a fine actor, he played the part well, and he plays the part very well in the movie Breezy. Breezy was a controversial movie about a couple who had an age difference- may have been taboo back then but today it is no issue.

@@WilliamHoldenfanpage my favorite scene is when He and Breezy are at the restaurant and his wife comes to the table and looks at Breezy and says- you're so young ! Also- did you spot the cameo of Clint Eastwood ? the other funny thing about the movie Breezy is she wanted to see the sunrise come up from the ocean, they are in California and the sunrise is in the East and sets in the west, so I think they filmed that part during a sunset....that sneaky Clint, he couldn't change the rotation of the earth when he made this movie.

J'adore ce film 💓💓💓💓 la musique est de Michel Legrand . Peter Lorre avait dit à Bogart qui s'inquiétait de sa différence d'age avec Lauren Bacall "même si ça ne dure que deux ans , vas-y sois heureux...."

Don’t be silly. It’s cinematography, not pornography. In such scenes, actors usually wear underpants, so they never “communicate” the way you think.
