Honestly speaking...I know that this is a Korean TV show but maybe they could have asked Sam to speak more English... His mother doesn't show it or at least the show doesn't show it, but I can bet she felt left out when they spoke in Korean...

Nah, my language is Cantonese it's pretty difficult to learn and I'm not exactly too fluent in it myself. We can both speak English which is good enough for me. It's just difficult when we have to speak to each other's parents (his first language is not English too).

I think the wife feels left out the most when she's with his family. So Sam speaking Korean from time to time is very considerate of him to his wife so she doesn't feel left out. When he's with her family he can fit in fine because he can communicate in Korean. I can see Sam's mother having to use body languages when she's around so she understands a llittle.

I think that some people are looking at their situation and giving the wrong advice. It’s a sad situation sure but something all parents go through or should know is that one day your children will be come adults and venture out into the world to take their place. I am proud of Sam because he at least makes an effort to still be in his moms life. But y’all are crazy to tell him to pack up his life and family and move back to Australia. Of course they miss each other but that is ridiculous to even suggest something like that because it’s been 16 years so what he’s obviously not leaving anytime soon that’s where his life is now and he is very successful.

Sam should really think about going back to live in Australia, I mean, 16 years away from his mom, and now his kids are away from her too. You can see in her eyes how much she absolutely adores her grandkids, at that age, being able to see them often would be great for her. I love William on the show, but maybe Sam should think about going back to Australia to be with his mom.

Nana makes me miss my grandma. She lived far away from me too. But she always sent clothes and toys to us. And when we did visit, she made sure we never left empty handed. She had so much unconditional love. 😭😭😭

Sam's mother is really a very good mother and grandmother ... She really loves her son Sam , when she called him : "My baby" she really loves Sam . .. I love William so much I feel like he’s my little brother lol. He’s so adorable edit: omg okay and now I’m crying because of sam’s Moment with his mom. No matter how distant you grow from your mother even if it’s for a good reason I think you’ll always have little moments where you imagine her being with you or you think about how it would be if life had turned out differently. But she is right. Sam is such a good person I think. I mean I only see him on tv and everyone is an asshole sometimes lol nobody is perfect but watching him with his kids and family is a beautiful thing and I don’t know but I think it would be so fun if Sam’s mom moves to Korea too 😄 most likely won’t happen but I can’t help but imagine her on adventures, learning the language a little and always in a good mood, going to markets and talking with hands and feet to the ahjumma’s 😄😄
