There is a character from a TV series who really embodies that 'new age spirituality' - Adam Newmann's wife from WeCrashed. God, she sounded ridiculous🤣 The way you expressed it (at 7:38) brought back a lot of memories of watching the series.

There are some similarities between James' and Hegel's conceptualisation of the attitudes of Stoics (or Stoicism) and Christianity. I wonder if there is any significance to this?

Acho que se olharmos do lado do crente a semelhança é que ambos são humanos. Mas do lado do que creem com toda fé o sentimento de terem sido atendidos pela Graça! Isto me toca com muita força ultimamente...e o que acabo de dizer uma consequência ou efeito de um filme que acabo de assistir: EUROPA 51, de Rossellini. A personagem de uma mãe cujo filho criança se suicida e ela -- milagrosamente? -- deixa de ser quem era transformando-se radicalmente noutra pessoa, ou melhor, na que finalmente é! Como compreender essa transformação senão como além da vontade humana? E então como de uma força, poder etc., etc. que nos transcende?

I am actually very interested in how he thinks Epicurus would experience Anhedonia, I know his ideas about ataraxia are sometimes seen as a form of asceticism but he also has quotes attributed to him talking about not knowing the Good without the experience of sex.
