There was a vision shown to the headman of Ukhrul before William Pettegrew came to the hill of Naga(now in Manipur). In the vision there was a white skin buffalo other than the normal black skin. And he was told not to kill it but to protect it. As in those days, head hunting was quite an activities around in Naga culture. When he arrived in Ukhrul( locally known as Hunphun) he was attempted by many to get his head but the headman of the village ordered nobody to hurt him as he realised that white buffalo vision was him. That is how western education and Christianity starts in Tangkhul Naga Community.

I think it was his grandfather who saw the dream/vision and the story was passed down until it came true during his time i.e the grandson.

I really like the story and it's encouraging but I've one suggestion- instead of using irrelevant images/slides from different sources, please keep a dynamic video of flowing water in a river, sun rising, sun setting, still water, rushing waves, etc.(can't really describe it well, sorry). This would make the listeners focus more on the words rather than on the images. God bless your efforts abundantly!

The story narrative is excellent but I’m not satisfied with the background pictures and videos that’s displayed. Can give little more effort on finding more of Tangkhul literal pictures and videos. Can find a lot in the social media platform. I personally learn a lot more on visual display rather than reading and listening 😂😂. I’m sure there are so many like myself. I’m Tangkhul and I want to see the pictures and videos correctly😊😊. Big thanks for the story of Late. William Pettigrew. It was because of his vision that 100•/• of my people are entitled Christian but sadly many are generation Christian. Appreciate your work.

The Meiteis turned him down. They ignored the Good News he preached. The Meitei reaped what they sowed. Today, the Meiteis lived in the darkest period of their times. I prayed for the Meiteis. Meitei already have a religion that was older. and based on philosophy so converting them is not easy. In the hills the people were animist and their religion was simple so easier to convert. Even Max Mueller who was brought to deride Hinduism got a change of heart after going through the Upanishads.

The conflict between those who came to proselytise are part of history. The differences between Pettigrew and Dr Cozier is part of history so there is nothing godly about these missionaries whose sole purpose is to spread Christianity though conflict between different denominations makes one wonder the frailty of humans
