When William used Vanny to escape the game, he left hus agony behind to spread his influence and corruption, and Victor took a liking to it.The mask Victor's wearing is something William made for him out of Malhare's code, so Victor's soul stays it the game world corrupting anyone who plays it, and the actual Malhare is transfered into Burntrap from Security Breach. So Victor is technically Malhare 2.0, stuck in the VR Game, while the real Malhare is encrypted in Burntrap's body.
