I grew up in the Age of Blink 182, New Found Glory, Sum 41, All American Rejects, and of course Yellowcard. At one point or another I had a favorite song from each of those bands and countless others. I love this type of music. I have since I was in middle school. I am in my late 30s now. In my small suburban town I always felt alone in the music that I enjoyed. Everything is hip/hop r & b. People like what they like. Music speaks to each soul differently. I was searching "Big If" by Ryan Key today because I remember over a decade ago I came across that song and I loved it. However, I came across this song today. Yes it gave me the feeling of being back in my golden age of listening to music and discovering a new favorite song, but more importantly it took me on a journey. It took me on your journey Ryan. This song (Old Friend) has been on repeat for me all day today. Thank you for giving me this moment. Thank you for all that you have ever done for me with your music.

I love this. When I learned that Yellowcard had broken up a part of me died but then I found out Ryan would keep making music. And wow, I'm in love though I still miss Yellowcard more than anything, especially Sean and his amazing violin. Well, I guess we can't always have it all.
