​@@iykeharrison9161I think the problem was squad depth. When there's isn't squad depth players are exhausted and play bad games. That's why Pep keeps some players fresh, they play few game, until February and big games comes (laporte, Walker, gundogan,...)

What a player! The Rolls Royce defender, has everything, pace, power, good in the air, reads the game like a seasoned pro! Could even play midfield with his skill and passing range. We are so lucky to have him.

If Arteta had a time machine, he should go back to that Sporting match at home and NOT start Saliba for that game. It was Saliba's injury that ruined the whole season for us. He was the backbone of our defence and allowed our midfield and attack to dictate games. Saliba transformed our team the same way VVD transformed Liverpool into title contenders when he signed.

He was actually injured during that Fulham game but it was prominent during the sporting match the following week. Sad reality 😔💔

And i think the reason Saka's performance dropped as well is because he wasn't receiving progressive passes like the ones Saliba would provide.

It wasn't Saliba. It was Tomiyasu's injury that cost our rotation, within freakin minutes of each other. Saliba would be injured and we'd be fine with Tomiyasu and Kiwior. But anyway, the team was already playing pretty poor by that point. I am glad this defensive weakness was discovered and exploited this early in their development as a team. The will learn a lot: both Staff and Team. Especially about rotation and Injuries and trusting players sooner.

Saka dropped off coz he has played 3,200+ minutes of Premier League, on top of World Cup, Fa, Europa and Euros.That is numbers Harry Kane, Salah, Benzema etc have done for many seasons so far. This is Saka's first time reaching these numbers, by thousands of minutes. He cant be subbed off coz we have noone to replace him and keep quality. its sad. But Imagine what he'll be like after summer's rest, pre-season and future seasons. Scary.

Some people say we lost the league agaisnt liverpool some say west ham and some say southampton but they are all wrong we lost the league when we lost this beast he was our rock in defense look at our last performance with him in the league against Fulham who had Mitrovic up front Saliba and the team were only getting better with each game but the injury to him and Tomiyasu killed our chance at racing City to the title on the last day scoring goals is all well and good but if you dont have a great defense to complement the offense then every goal you score wont mean anything if you concede i want you to name one team that played at a top level that didnt have a rock solid defense dont worry i'll wait

I've watched a good amount of professional football in my life, and all bias aside he's genuinely the most eye catching and impressive CB I've seen even at his age. Not the best CB I've seen because he isn't, he still has mistakes in him and he still can improve but there's no denying his skill and composure on the ball along with his insane physicality is rare. A special talent for sure.

He stays fit, we win the league. I have no doubt in my mind. Its still not an excuse, we’re bottle jobs until we fix it, but without his injury, we’re champions. He’s there even when the rest of the team is demoralized or has small lapses in concentration. My favorite player at our club!

No wonder people turned on Partey after he got injured, even Rice would be sh*t if he was used to having such cover behind him all season and all of a sudden he has to do all his work too. Saliba was the reason the lone 6 can work because he can recover and help kill the press, now all that work rests on the single CDM. He was the best defender in the league by far.

With a Solid Rcb coming in or white moving to Rcb if a RB is sign.. Arteta won't have any reason starting Saliba in the Carabao and Facup games..By God grace he will stay injury free next season..♥️♥️

I think we should just sign a natural RB to compliment Tomiyasu and return white to his natural position as RCB. Having White, Saliba, Gabriel and Kiwior as our CBs next season would be great.

Okay, i change my mind, is absence is the reason we failed to win the league. Anyway, just kidding but he was seriouse immerse for Arsenal this season. Hopefully, he has gotten a feel for the EPL and he can always continue to improve henceforth. 4.02 show his no pushover and will withstand anybody for strength, his pace is also a plus.

See the Saliba/Partey axis...how important Thomas was to Saliba and Big Gabby...and people forget because Partey lost a little form and can't play a whole season...for the 25 games he was fully fit he was peerless. The best in the league including Rice or anyone else. If we get Rice we still need Partey
