Tbh After he got springlocked he stopped fearing the children in the games, in the Book Trilogy he seemed to not be scares of the children tbh In the games he was scared of the souls and prob been able to see souls cause when it comes to knowing the children were the animatronics he wasn't scare to destroy them I would say he is more scared of souls than the MC themselves

@@Sr_V2 your theory is interesting. Though in the games i believe that there wasn't really a soul in the run down pizzeria he was in ( Fnaf 3 ) . And the Missing Children are still souls so He does fear them And souls in general. And the part where he destroys the animatronics is actually to cover for his crime since the police were going to search inside the suits so he obviously didn't know they were possessed ( or maybe did know that ) because it is obvious that he didn't expect the souls to appear and haunt him till he meets his death.

@@Norhan_.-019 He knew the kids souls where in the suits he wasn't surprise the animatronics could move remember he killed them in 1987 I think and they moved in that year we know that thx to Fnaf 2, William knew the kids were possesing the animatronics, he didn't destroy them to cover his crimes, Fnaf 1 had closed after all, he did it for some reason we actually don't know Afton his death Afton never really feared any souls since he was dead already, Right now at this moment he is prob scared of Cassidy He when Alive was scared of the MC in their soul form cause he can't kill them and they prob can do something to him plus lets br honest we all would be scared if we had souls that looked like the MC coming to us specially when we killed them He prob taught that after destroying the animatronics nothing will happen He prob fears or feared the MC Souls form like he is scared of Ghosts rather say In the novel is shown William isn't necesarilly scared of them So yeah After his death he prob doesn't really care, the MC can't do anything But when he was alive, he had a very normal and expected reaction to seeing ghost My point is he is scared of ghosts Not the MC in general (maybe except cassidy since we don't know if he is actually scared of her or he simply hates her)

honestly i believe the missing children are in the wrong here, William only killed them (most likely quickly as well) You can only take revenge so far... At this point, in this AU, imagine: You kill 6 kids then those kids, make you run into a suit, that literally punctures your organs & severes your vocal cords, & you don't even die from that, you die from drowning in your own blood. Then you go on to possess said animatronic, where the springlocks could possibly go off again, you get set on fire not once but twice, you are mentally tortured in hell for god who knows how long, you somehow escape just be burnt again & now those same children want to do more to you. Not only that but you also have to suffer beforehand with the mental pain of having created the same things that killed two of your children & suffering for 30 years in a sealed off room, where once again you can't do anything as your vocal cords are destroyed, you can only sit there, staring into the darkness, thinking about your mistakes. Now tell me, Does this sound right? Does this sound deserved? Something that should happen? Because at this point it sound's like torture, a torture i personally wouldn't even put some of the worst people through Also (speaking as if they were actually real) @myst_ would love to see the missing children's reaction to this comment.

It worked, but cassidy said "Nah, time to torture you in purgatory & not let your soul move on!" Hell even in the books it is even shown that Afton is only alive because one of his victims, andrew, is keeping him alive to torture him for all of eternity. The souls are not immortal, as shown by the missing children moving on, if Cassidy, the one torturing him, would actually move on, William would finally be able to die & be sent to hell. But no, she wants her revenge, which counts as physical torture for all of eternity. I Get the whole "Punishment" part, but he's already suffered enough, as i stated before, *Revenge can only go so far*, and in my personal opinion Cassidy has pushed that statement to the breaking point.
