Not only is this version in the right tempo, it's the only recording I can find that isn't afraid to let the brass and percussion let loose. Even some of William's own takes on the piece can be very reserved in this way. I enjoy the appreciation for bombast here.

Agreed. definitely my favourite rendition besides the original done by Williams and the LSO. They really captured the the piece's intensity.
Great work, but I feel like there were a couple balancing issues within sections, and the choir was a little bleak, but true, one of the better performances.

+TheDragonSmasher Yes. I was watching TPM the other day, thinking "what is so horrible about it"... Other than Jar Jar anyway, but he's just a stupid side character, not the focus... Still a different league than TESB, but a fun movie with a great lightsaber fight in the climax.

Of all of the live-orchestra-performance videos of Duel of this Fates, this one features the most majestic concert hall -- and that definitely adds considerably to the overall effect. The hall even features reddish accents in the woods and walls -- a Sith hue. Pity the choir isn't large/strong enough to make a sufficiently powerful impression. Not a bad orchestra, though.
