Williams Flintstones Arcade Pinball Machine

I love The Flintstones, there I've said it! I know it's not considered a great game but I have owned 5 or 6 and always missed them when they are sold so I picked up this very presentable one which I will strip down and rebuild, it will then stay in my "keeper" collection. It's not the greatest game in the world but it is really fast and furious to play with no ball hang up time (apart from the Bronto crane which still gets the ball back into play quickly). I love the way the ramp diverters allow the ball to pass round the back of the flippers and the bowling alley and concrete mixer are great fun gadgets. Great song and animation at the end of the game (if you get a high score) and during standby and all the animation is good, I even like the font of the score! It's no TZ but its good fun which at the end of that day is what they were built for.

It's truly a mechanic that's never been repeated. But deserves insight into how to be incorporated... In today's pinball.

There was one of these in the arcade room in my hotel on holiday. It was so fun to play, however it would reset when i pressed both flipper buttons at the same time.

Classic 5v reset problem. Luckily can be fixed for cheap.

I've had my Flintstones for a few months now and love it. I just need to find 1 plastic and the bowling pin mount and it will be complete. I bought the cartoon translite which makes it look 100 times better.

Hey Larry, that diverter still makes me smile after all these years, can’t be bad! I have had a couple of MB’s but although it is a great game and very pretty it just wasn’t one I kept playing. I think I have tracked down a mint Shadow so that will complete my collection of keepers, I’m as excited as an excited person with a special reason to be excited!

If you mean the sort of line you can se at the base of it this was an early attempt at a shield to stop the dot matrix reflecting off the playfield glass, well spotted!
