I had a nice Grand Prix in my collection about 15 years ago and really enjoyed the open playfield, DC voltage and fast powerful game play. Thanks for sharing.

Thankyou Vic. You are a legend in the EM world who knows what nice EMs are and how they should play. =) Speaking of DC voltage, I had to convert the drop target reset from AC to DC to have them reliably reset.

Interesting your comment about the drop targets needing DC voltage. Thanks for sharing.

That’s the best looking and running Grand Prix that I’ve seen. Great job!

I have a Grand Prix in great condition- play it all the time. Super fun game. Mine only has 1 coin slot, original game and I think I am only the 3rd owner. Great to see others having fun!

Beautiful work done on this machine. I have a Grand Prix that’s in pretty decent condition considering its age and I love it.

Great work! I'm currently working on a Grand Prix as well, and was wondering if I could PM you regarding a repair to the drops?

Thankyou sir! Yes you can email me. =) They were very hard to locate reproductions and special care is needed with installing as they are a bit more rigid than the originals and can break upon installation if not careful. dave@pinballdoctor.com

Your machine is beautiful and a golden standard for how things should work when working properly, thanks for posting! I have one issue, the advance right bonus switch causes the right AND left bonus to go up. Any ideas?

@2:22 - Solid state doesn't have anything to do with it, it's just a dumb idea that was put in place. You could easily defeat this switch by putting the magnet in place and plunge short. Score one time, then it would essentially become an orbit scoring spinner shots on both sides. The only thing it prevents is hitting the left spinner off the plunge. Not much thought went into it.
