I just learned that Willie died and I am devastated. We’ve seen them play half a dozen times and I remember with a smile Willie spotting us from the stage when we’d travelled 3,000 miles to see them play in Kelowna, B.C.; he jumped up, came to our table and gave us both hugs, wearing that infectious smile of his. He and Lobo were incredible to witness live; music that made you feel things words can never express. Now I must tell Laura when she awakes and she too will be heartbroken. Tears are streaming down my cheeks as I write this. You were a gift to the world, Willie; I consider myself blessed to have met you and experienced your music. I will never forget you .....

Oh no! I saw these guys about 25 years ago at Mama Mia's in Puerto Vallarta. Small noisy place. Had a beer and chatted with them after their show, have been a fan ever since and still have the live cassette they gave me. :/
