Charlus has been tipped up as a good horse on a number of occasions so he still had to go and do it. As for Anzadam its clear that he didn't have the strongest opposition and I noticed during the race that Paul had a bit of a job getting him to settle but he did eventually and he really motored over the last furlong against a couple of staying types. Interesting that his jumping prowess has been mentioned on several occasions and I see him as a 2 mile novice chaser nexr season and Salvatore Mundi will be the Champion Hurdle horse. Dancing City has got a big pot within him and definitely a long distance staying trip of maybe the Irish National or Scottish G N. All three horses were expected to run well but they still had to come and do it and they got no help from the ground conditions.

A great man absolutely friend but lets remember Mr Mullins is the Adian O'brien of NH racing & of course taking nothing away from the man he has 5 runners in a 8-9 runner G1 race with the best owners who have extremely DEEP POCKETS but a top class trainer absolutely. When you win G1's the way Sir Henry Cecil or Michael Stoute or Dermot Weld etc who put one or two in G1's with 15-16 runners is impressive.

I thought Dancing City might be up against it today, but no such thing. Was that more a case of credit to him, or was Bioluminescence a tad disappointing? Dilemma for Cromwell as the Mares' Chase doesn't look a good fit for either Bioluminescence or Only By Night. Only By Night might be the best two mile novice outside of Sir Gino and Majborough. If it wasn't for his Cheltenham blowout then Dancing City would probably be favourite for the Brown Advisory. Anzadam needs to beat a decent horse to justify anything like the Champion Hurdle price. Beacon Edge isn't close to a 146 horse at two miles.

Willie is great reading comments & I agree, who could disagree 🎉 In science studies done on behaviour in rats 🐀 The top rats will let the little rats win about 30 to 40% of the time If the don’t, the evolutionary ecosystem doesn’t work. 💩 topples when the top rats get too big and greedy. It’s like all greats that dominate. Man U- kept David May top player for Blackburn benched. Phil & butt went on to be top players for other littler clubs. Willie isn’t obviously keeping top stars benched or boxed up in stable & in the know on secret gallops, but many dozens of potential super stars, every season( & getting worse…) his horse are lost, ran once or twice, maybe 5 times in 3 yrs, or worse the masses of primed 7/8&9 yrs olds that never run again…..but still kept in training 😢 It’s killing the game for fans and the sports overall health. Fact. Racing is nice, nepotistic even, a cult like sport, but science is just fact based. Willie is killing the sport. Paving way for generations of sick domination. Next in line is the lump for ficks sake

Neither is anything else as far as I can see why not just bypass champion hurdle and as you say go to aintree or punches town .with con hill running the champion hurdle is just a walk over
