This guy killed the San Saba Songbird and lived on for hundreds of years, truly a remarkable man.

Sorry for your loss. Willie Watson definitely hits though. Glad the performance connected with you.

This guy is excellent and should have his own western TV show or movie around his “Buster Skruggs” character.

I stand corrected by @pavotibio. Love talking the guitar with guitar players who know their chords.

I'd love to see the sheet music for the melody. I don't hear very well and it's hard to pick out the nuances of the melody. Such a great song! But I have that image of Tim Blake Nelson floating in the air1 Not sure I couldn't giggle if this was played at a funeral!

From now on the Coen brothers should choose his material. How did they find this guy to perform this song?
@terrybull4604 Жыл бұрын
He was one of the founding members of old crow medicine show who wrote wagon wheel and a member of the grand ole oprey then he went solo. Often covers appalachian songs of the early 1900s now considered public domain...not sure if your question was rhetorical but I love this guy and think he deserves way more recognition.

@@jordangamesvlogs9892 people are giving you shit but aren't even right about what the chords are. The song is in D, so he's playing in C with a capo on 2, which puts those C shapes into the key of D. Chords are I IV V, or C F and G shapes (D G and A are the chords we're hearing). There's a turnaround sometimes where he plays a D into a G, then back to C.
@philipwagner53168 ай бұрын
He's capo ing the 2nd fret and playing in G. What true key that makes it, I don't know. Sorry.
@pavotibio5 ай бұрын
It is on D major. Capo on the 2nd space, but shaped as a C (not G).
