A tour of L'AGULHAS, South Africa - Where Two Oceans Meet

Hi everyone! In this video, I explore the southernmost town on the continent of Africa, namely L'Agulhas. It is also the town where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans come together, and home to the southernmost point of Africa, Cape Agulhas.
The vlog starts at the entrance of the town, with me battling the wind. L'Agulhas forms part of the Cape of Storms, so this weather is not too uncommon! I explore some of the residential areas and give information about the town itself.
In the commercial area, I visit the southernmost cafe and supermarket on the African continent. Afterwards, I explore more of the residential areas and also stumble across the southernmost school in Africa.
I then head to the Agulhas National Park where I visit the iconic lighthouse as well as Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa.
This vlog is extra special for me on a personal level. I've been to Cape Agulhas before, but this is my first visit here since after my trip to Tunisia, where I visited the northernmost point of Africa - Ras Ben Sakka at Cape Angela. Thank you Willie, for another Extraordinary video, this time showing the Southernmost of everything in Africa, how Fascinating, What an Experience, and it’s like I was right There!! Interesting to see the lighthouse! The museum! The Braai areas! Only the Braai missing Willie! 🤣🤣 Population around 500 apparently, and an area of 86% whites. We are having a misarable cold time here in the Uk while you are there exploring this amazing part of the world , where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean, Willie!

SA is op die pad van totale vernieting. Besigheids gebiede soos Roodepoort, Florida selfs Krugersdorp is 'n "no go zone!" Ons is gereeld sonder krag en water, die water kwaliteit is nie baie goed nie en die hele water infrastruktuur hier in Jhb is op die punt van ineenstorting. Minimum werkgeleenthede vir ons en misdaad skrikwekkend. Sopas weer 'n man voor sy klein kinders in sy huis doodgeskiet deur inbrekers. Wees dankbaar dat julle die geleentheid van 'n beter lewe het, probleme is seker maar oral. Dis hartseer maar die ou SA bestaan nie meer, selfs in jou video van Lambertsbaai is die agteruitgang sigbaar. Groete!

Velskoen, lyk of die wind vreeslik gewaai het toe jy daar was! Die enigste keer toe ek by Kaap Agulhas was, was in 1985 saam met my oupa-hulle, en Jan 2025 bly ek en my Hong Kong se nonnatjie (wat nogal Potjiekos van Anton Goosen kan sing) daar in 'n gastehuis! Daai Afrika kaart monument lyk baie indrukwekkend! Watse kamera gebruik jy vir jou videos? Ek het op die oomblik 'n Nikon Z6 en dink daaraan om 'n 2de kamera v.d. besoek in die Kaap aan te skaf.

Ek het self kleintyd 'n paar keer Agulhas besoek maar hierdie was ekstra spesiaal omdat dit my eerste besoek was na my Tunisie reis. Ek gebruik 'n GoPro, kyk gerus na hulle opsies! Ek vermoed jy sal een goedkoper kry in Hong Kong as in Suid-Afrika. Groete

@@willieexplore 😂 there are a few cities in the US that have French names. I'm sure the french would laugh their arses off if they heard the americans pronounce those names. I know there are lots of portuguese people in South Africa. As a matter of fact, In portugal they are called ' Maningues' . 😂
