Correct! This Is The Time And The Year To Bring The ChampionShip Back To New York. We Have Julius Randle #30, Jalen Brunson #11, O.G. Anunoby #8, Isaiah Hartenstein #55, And Donte Divincenzo #0 As The Starters Which Pretty Much Are A Perfect Team. Jalen Brunson Is Our Present Day Willis Reed But Essentially The Nine Player Rotation Will Be Crucial With Josh Hart #3, Quentin Grimes #6, Miles “Deuce” McBride #2, And Our Injured Starter Mitchell Robinson #23. These Will Be The 2024 NBA Champions’ The N.Y. Knickerbockers.

Yup, Just got the news of Reed's passing, wow. Just to put into context what a different time that was, I was born and raised in New York City, lived in Harlem until I was 14. I was a freshman an New York University at the time. The previous year, the Mets had won it all (after 6 seasons finishing last, then one of NEXT to last after being formed in 1962, around the time I became interested in baseball). I was playing in a chess league that night (stop that snickering, lol) when the game started, but there was a "saving grace" aspect to that: I couldn't watch it live anyway (attending the game live was WAY beyond my meager allowance, lol), because the game was on tape delay. Think about that: Game 7, of the NBA Finals, between the two largest cities in the country...and the game was on tape delay. I'd say the NBA has come a long way. The chess game was long, as they sometimes are, and I went to the bathroom 2 or 3 times. Each time I went, I plugged my ears and went "la, la, la" because I could see people in the hallways listening to flimsy transistor radios, obviously listening to the game, and I didn't wanna hear ANYTHING that was happening, obviously. I won my game, took my ass back to the dorm (even though I lived in the Bronx, I had gotten a full scholarship that included room and board at "The Brittany" a boy's dorm located at 55 East 10th Street. When the showed Willis walk almost casually onto the court, well, you see the reaction. If I live to 2070, I don't think I'll forget that. R.I.P. Willis.

I won`t ever forget it. 1970. early May. I`m was in/from Chicago then. I was 6yrs. Series going back n forth against wilt,west & keith erickson & crew. I just saw the LAKERS lose a game 7 against BOSTON in 1969. Now this... after missing gm6 . well...What happened next can only be described as something of sheer "guts"!!! determination" sheer will & the desire to WIN!!!!

Well I was a 15 year old living on the West Coast in San Francisco, and became a fan of the Knicks. Because of their strong start to start the 1970 NBA season (18 game winning streak) they were always on the NBA game of the week. Especially because they were playing the second year at the new Madison Square Garden. It was so much fun watching the games from the Garden on tv, I can't even imagine how great it must have been to see them in person at the new Garden. I finally saw the NY Knicks in 1973 when they played the Warriors at the Oakland Alameda county Coliseum, and in 1986, I made my very first trip to New York and was able to see the outside of Madison Square Garden. What an incredible impressive piece of architecture. Truly the world's most famous arena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did You That The 18 Game Winning Streak Was Done In Honor Of Phil Jackson Who Was Injured And Who Was A Very Good Friend Of The Starters Especially Willis Reed? Phil Jackson Should Have Won A ChampionShip In NY At Least As President To Have His Number 18 Retired. But Oh Well! Phil Jackson Decided Not To Be On The Rafters When He Broke The Team Trading Carmelo Anthony Away. It Should Have Been Great But It Is Over Now. It Should Have Been Great But Phil Jackson Lost It Somehow. Phil Jackson Could Have Been The Trifecta Of Perfection As Player, Coach, And President With The Chicago Bulls, The L.A. Lakers, And The N.Y. knickerbockers.
@CKNICKERBOCKERS

But Of Course That Was Never His Intention. Phil Jackson Could Have Been A God, Maybe The Greatest In New York, But Hey This Is “The Master Of Defense” Master Thibs Team Now.
