This is one clean ass subie. I’ve got a 13’ sport hatch (first car) and was thinking about some mods but decided against because it’s an awesome car as is. I sometimes race around backroads at night and can do at least double the speed limit/recommended speed on turns while my baby grips tight and claps apexes near perfectly. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a fuel efficient, cheaply insured, reliable car that doesn’t compromise on having fun.

Did your car have fog lights already? I have a 2016 and looking for fog lights but want to get rid of the ugly chrome strip that it came with. Did you just put carbon fiber over it?

Nope. I ended up getting the OEM switch and then a foglight adapter for my after market housings to connect into the factory harness. There is a carbon overlay on top of the chrome.

This is basically what I was thinking of doing, maybe with an older used one since I can find late 2000's models and early 2010's around 3k. Did the math, labor, all that even with a new engine swap, i can get it near a wrx level performance for cheaper than a used same year wrx. I need that awd around here (dirt roads)

The max hp isn’t available till around 6000rpm. I’m guessing your dads is AWD too which makes it heavier. Try revving it till 6000.. if your dad doesn’t mind.

Depends what is considered as a "performance" upgrade I guess. This platform is fairly limited in terms of getting any more power. I have a video throwing on some coilovers as well as my current catback and header setup

I'd say so. It's one of those things where yiu have to experience it to believe it. Don't expect massive power gains though.

I did the retrofit myself. Check out The Retrofit Source or Lightwerkz for the components. There are limited aftermarket headlights (pre-built) for this car, but there is one I've seen on eBay that has the C-light style with a projector.

The only issue I had was I was sent the wrong hardware for the job, but they were quick to send me new ones. I'm sure by now their process has improved
