@@jadelaawar779 I wasn’t good enough to make my school team. I started playing late like age 14/15. The first year my mom really hater the idea that i liked soccer so she did not put me on a team. So I practiced by myself the first year. I did not make the team. Second year I finally convinced her to let me join a team so I did. But soon after i was taken off. Second year i did not make the team again. I was playing really well in other sports so i stuck with that. It’s not completely her fault. I could have keep going but I quit because Even though i was getting better i still needed to put in so much more time. I could have keep going but I did not. And thats all on me. I might play in a sunday league type deal in the future. I just play with freinds when i can now, and I watch a lot of the sport since it’s still my favorite. But I do other sports where on varsity level where our team is ranked #11 out of 500 or so schools. So i just learned to live with it. In the future tho, I can’t wait to go to stadiums of the teams I like in england and spain. Thats going to be fun as mess

Goluremi decides, I joined an academy team where they play at high levels & against other pro academy teams, but I’m starting off at the bottom. The other players are just simply better, and I’m not getting game time. Though I will say I’ve gotten so much better playing in this type of environment. I’ve been working on every part of my game, and tons of individual training, my first touch, passing, dribbling, etc.. I’ve recently asked my coach what I can do to get better, he said he’ll give me an answer soon but not at that moment. The goal right now is to make that starting 11, and dominate, but I got a lot of work ahead me. I’ll update this comment

I have been on a regional pdp team for 4 years, and am now trying out for state pool. I'm also in the higher level of my club's surf select program, where the best players of all surf clubs come together and try out fore spots in teams that go the places around the world like Argentina, England, Orlando, and more. One of my natural talents that I use to my advantage is my speed. I'm faster that almost every player I have played against on my age group (07). I have pretty high game IQ, mostly because of how obsessed My dad is with tactics and tricks. Some things I want to improve on as a forward is finishing, dribbling, and strength. The hardest to work on for me is the strength one. I'm skinny, but not weak. But I feel like having more strength as a striker would help me stay between the ball and the defender whenever I need to. I just don't have much time or passience to commit to a bulking process. Maybe that will change as I get older. Oh yeah, and goluremi decides.

I wish these things were encouraged. I was the stiffest of stiff boards and though I am good and was good at doing it, I had a huge mental block instilled in me and I feel like I could've been at least 50% better of a play if I was encouraged to take risks. Now that I'm older I realize that I can take my own responsibility to be my own player and not listen to everybody. But as a kid it was stressful.

Well as a coach I agree with point two of stunting players growth, but also its key as a player to understand when & where to try something new or when not. Coaches need to encourage taking risks & trying something new, in practice & games. But specifically to my player that sent me your video telling me I was to hard on him for trying something new. When its a Championship game and you try a bicycle kick for the first time when you could have easily headed the ball with no one around you with the keeper out of the goal its disappointing (if you would have missed by playing simple different story, it happens) but to lose such a game by a goal when we should have gone to extra time it was disappointing. Otherwise the only thing I ask as a coach is if you fail at trying something new work with your team to recover the ball!

Huge fan of Goluremi & GkGoluremi. I have been following all the vids, the podcast and am on the LinkedIn group. I also am going to get some new goal keeping gear from the shop as well. I would love to contribute more. Side note as a keeper, I have been playing competitively since 03. I made it as far as thé varsity level. I never played at the collegiate level, but I played with and against guys who did. I learned the game first as a defender, at very young age and in part a defensive midfielder before I got into keeping. These days I am just looking for coaches and trainers to take me past my plateau. I learned a lot of these points the hard way. Mistakes as a keeper are far more punishing, but it’s the best teacher to show how and where you are lacking.
