In my opinion the hardest point of the solo grind, is finding and getting the materials for your first base. You can die multiple times before getting to this, but when you get that base down your finally able to start farming and progressing fairly safely.

Another wholesome video from WillyJ. For anyone thinking of trying this game after watching this just a few tips. If you intend on playing solo STAY AWAY from servers that allow duo and trio. You are no match and will be raided the moment you go to bed IRL. Go for solo only and certainly not vanilla. You can make some big plays but also have insurmountable losses. Rust isn’t as wholesome as you see here but full of no-lifers, tryhards, toxic and untrustworthy people. Try to learn the game on PVE servers first and if you want to try your hand at PVP go for modded servers.

I find it a little funny how this particular video series is being put forward as something of an education in soloing Rust like every other video isn't.
