Old-ish dad-gamer here. Never played the game and probably never will. And yet I watch these videos religiously. It's like cross between Planet Earth, Bob Ross, Naked and Afraid, and Mad Max. Straight-up one of my favorite creators on KZbin. Appreciate the content, Willjum.

I got 3k hours in the game. Trust me, dont play it. His videos are amazing because he has 10k+ hours and however much he downplays it, hes really good at PvP and reading situations. Rust is fun if you are really, really good or play with someone that is really really good. And even then you have to put 8hours a day into it to even get some progress (because vanilla). You could go into a 2/5/10x boosted loot server but thats just really everyone running around with AK, 50 rockets and 20 c4s so it gets pretty overwhelming too. Trust me, I love the game but I deeply hate it too because of the state of it. You can farm and progress for 8 hours only to wake up to have been offline raided..

I am the same. I have no interest in playing the game. Being a dad means less time for games so I only play pve games with a few friends on the rare occasion. His narration is what makes it so special. Just like watching JaWoodle in 7days. The commentary is perfect!
