i go to dale every single year and have since i was 4 and i love it. when the water is really clear and the lake isn’t busy you can kinda see especially if the water is low

Yes in the Fall sometimes it is almost out of the water.

I'll be visiting Dale Hollow Lake the week of July 4th and will be staying on a pontoon houseboat rental. As an avid diver and scuba instructor, I am excited to be learning about the submerged history and want to thank you for all the information you've gathered. Willow Grove at one time filled tanks for $10 but I do not think they do anymore. My buddy Tony at this youtube link will have all the info you need. He may take you to some of the sites, he is there 2 weeks a month. I always fill mine in Cookeville Tn. and have not filled at the lake. Let me know if you need any more info. Eddy kzbin.info

what was the water temp, I see u guys are diving with out a wetsuit or drysuit. and what was the depth.

About 15 to 20 feet. No wet suit in Summer. Temp about 75.

Just offshore of Willow Grove Campground. 2 markers west of the swimming area.

My brother had a teacher who lived there before all the water came in and flooded it all.

There is so much more of the school house than I have seen. I guess I have only seen the shallowest part. i had no idea there was that much.

This was probably a holiday. The lake is usually much more clear, and the school is near a busy dock/campground.

That's good to hear. I was just thinking the visibility looks so bad there is no point in trying to dive this site. I'm spoiled in Florida.

That is great. Sometimes in late Fall it is very shallow and you can view from a boat.
