34:08 - If I remember correctly, one of the hints the manual gave was to draw a map. They're not wrong. This is a 10 to 15 hour game the first time through. You have to get 99,000 experience points to max out your level. The final boss requires you to use nearly ALL of your MP on her, and there is VERY LITTLE margin for error. This is not an easy game. It is a good game, but it's definitely NES hard.

I remember playing this when i was like 7 years old back in the late 80's and thought it was way to hard. Never really played it since. Another game i remember being very hard to understand as a child was Maniac Mansion but i did love that game. I remember renting it first time and spent my 2 rental days trying to figure out how to get in the damn mansion not knowing the key was under the mat lol. When i finally got inside i was like wow i got so much more to explore lol.

The game play is extremely fun but like I said difficult at times. One of the best movies of 1988 or 1987. Yes he got a stick or actually I think it was a magic wand The bad queen was badmorda there was a warrior named Matt mordigan Williow used the magic wand to save fin raziel.

I beat this game about 20 years ago and just recently started playing it again. I barely remember anything about it. I will tell you this....when you fight enemies, if you can get them all in front of you...poke rather than swipe at them. Just stay in one spot and keep poking over and over and over again as fast as you can. You'll kill them in a hurry. The swipe move is preferred if you have them coming at you from 3 sides. Also...as you build experience up, your swipe move with the sword will gain a lot of speed.

I never beat it, but I got really far, I just remember I never got powerful enough to change the good witch back to a human with the wand, I didn't even get stuck, I was just so mad that woman kept changing into different shit instead of her normal form I quit playing. Young me was petty lol. Never beat the epilogue to Lunar: Eternal Blue because one of the bosses you meet after you beat Zophar ( the God of War btw ) , handled my whole endgame squad. I screamed and threw my controller at my Sega CD, it hit the disc drive and cracked the game. I still have never seen the true end of that game.

@@the_real_tay_loud2072 Its a modern handheld gaming system for playing older games.
@duffman18
@duffman18 3 жыл бұрын
It's not a handheld lmao. It can be converted into one, but then so can anything, people have made handheld Wiis for christ sake. The raspberry pi is a small computer that costs $5 and runs Linux. Because it's a full computer for so cheap, people use it for all sorts of things, they build unique devices using a raspberry pi. But the most common thing seems to be to use it as an emulation machine plugged into a TV. Or rarely someone might try and turn it into a handheld But I've tried it and it's pretty terrible for emulation. It's very slow and laggy and can't seem to handle even SNES games very well let alone something more powerful like ps1 The best handheld emulation device is 100% the GPD XD+. It costs a lot but if you're serious about emulation like I am, it's absolutely worth it. It's a perfect compliment to my Switch because you can play it handheld or plugged into a TV with an HDMI cable. And you can use Bluetooth controllers on it so you can get like 4 or more players playing multiplayer Goldeneye for N64, stuff like that It runs android, meaning it runs every app on the Play store. Meaning you can use it as a smart TV device too (which even the switch can't do, the switch doesn't have a Netflix app). And android is just hands down the best platform for emulation. I've tried everything. It's better than raspberry pi easily, it's better than a hacked PSP or Vita, it's better than a hacked DS, it's even better than PC. The emulators have the highest quality and run the best and have the most customization options, on android. And the whole bluetooth capability thing helps tremendously. Like you wanna emulate some Amiga or C64 games? Just connect a Bluetooth keyboard and off you go. But yeah, I tried a raspberry pi, and it just wasn't good enough. I'm sure it's fine for some people, but I couldn't stand it having lag and slowdown when playing something as simple as a mario game. Just isn't acceptable. The raspberry pi is a cool device for a lot of things, but not for running Linux. It'd take no lie about 30 minutes to open up an Internet browser or a RAR uncompressor program on it. It's like going back to the slow ass computers of the 90s, I couldn't stand it

I think the detailed game maps he wanted are on the back of the fold out poster in that issue, or they did more in the next issue.

For that James & Mike Mondays part: I don't think it's alright either complete the game before or not knowing anything about it. But you could do something in the half: play 1 hour or so to learn controls and first levels.
