If Willow weren't an artist, she could have been a therapist. Her ability to listen deeply and empathize is quite amazing. And she's so young feeding the soul of everyone that came before her.

She wants to be a shaman through music...she is doing it. I just truly discovered her last week while crying in the redwood forest with the goal of allowing myself to feel all my emotions without judgement...then i listen to this interview BOOM! And it was on a shuffle Willow playlist. My brother committed suicide last month and i am VERY particular about what music i sit with right now...let that sink in. Also thank you Willow for being you, and sharing yourself, and thank you Questlove for allowing your love for music to bring you and Willow together for this interview. I also first encountered you brother, at the grand opening for the National Memorial for Peace and Justice. I ran across the street at the end of the evening and said hello and thank you and you were very kind, what a momentous event for the culture that day was. I also had the privilege of seeing you perform in my hometown at Humboldt state university.

Quest, saying it took him 3 decades to get grounded and that his life is just starting now in his early 50's is kind of mind blowing because here I am in my 30's thinking wtf am I supposed to do now? I've wasted so much time and there isn't much time left. I'm with Willow, 2054 doesn't even sound real. I honestly can't fathom it in this moment. Brilliant interview. I know I'm gonna have to double back on this one.

Day By Day. I am 52, My confidences really didn't consciously hit til i was 40. Don't wait to get older start the journey now and you only have one life one mind one body. Don't give a damn what anyone thinks or says...right now!!!! Everyone's journey is different. Find your voice and you will be fine. Mistakes will happen, you will fall, but laugh it off and continue to fail forward. Getting older is not so bad because youth doesn't last long. More growth more wisdom to get you through.

I'm 61. Trust me, you are just getting started! And yes, life is short, but life is also long and you do have time. I thought I had missed everything and was depressed about it at age 30, but then my life, confidence, connections, and creative power really took hold starting in my late 30s through late 50s. Many, many folks I know haven't self-actualized until their 40s. That's the decade when you can really take what you've learned and failed forward through, and put it to purpose.

The last time I cried was to Willow's song "Overthinking IT," which spoke to me on a very deep level, and was a much needed reminder of my responsibility to get my shit together, for both my loved ones and my own ambition. It totally crept up on me, I was vibing with the song and then suddenly I was weeping. Even 5 years ago, she was channeling some real magic.

Beautiful spirited, educated and fine young lady. Incredibly unique and special. Playing music by ear is natural for many of us. I've played with and under fantastic musicians who don't know a lick about music theory. Though yes, I've studied music theory. My spirit is too free to subject myself to it. That's why I'm feeling Willow's organic musical journey at her age. She'll love herself forever. For loving her more natural vibration in life. Stay and be who you are people. Love Willow 💓
