I watched Juice during his CJ Parker days on NXT. He showed potential and the hippie gimmick definitely started to work better after he turned it heel. Happy to see him thriving with an awesome new championship victory today :)

Get Schwifty His mic skills and in-ring are obviously heavily inspired by old school wrestlers unlike most of the wrestlers in New Japan. Although it is unnatural, it is literally his gimmick, the Flamboyant Juice Robinson. He is rated just fine in my eyes, I don’t see the problem

jon His issue is that he thinks that he is worth more than what he actually is because that’s what led him to leave in the first place is that he didn’t want to lose to all these up and comers who were flat out better than him they had better gimmicks they had better deliveries I had better in ring qualities but he himself that he was worth more and you know more power to the Dude if thinks he’s worth more than he take his self and go somewhere else and prove that So far he’s an NJPW and as a foreigner he automatically is going to get special treatment but he’s going to be a highlight because of him being a foreigner in almost all Japanese country that being said he hasn’t changed much he still not outstanding and ring his gimmick is whatever especially considering the audience he has now really not sure what’s the big deal like he’s not worth anything why is he getting all this attention

I actually don't agree with the "moves metter more than characters" in wrestling now....in WWE maybe, since their characters feel fake as shit and the storylines are crap, but I actually feel there's more character development in NJPW, especially because the people behind the characters are allowed to pour some of their own personalities and ideas into their characters, they're free to put their twist on it and their characters like that feel much more "real", much more relatable....in WWE todays is way too clear there's a script and it's way to clear they have to follow it word by word with little room to move freely and improvise....and it sucks, it ruins guys who are not that good at acting, like Roman Reigns....when talking about him people should always keep in mind just how BADLY the company ruined the guy with honestly one of the most consistently bad booking in the histor of the company....I don't blame people who boo him though, I know it's all WWE's fault and still I don't want to see him. And luckily I don't now, since I've given up on the product almost entirely....which is what people should do if they don't like it anymore....brand loyalty is not a healthy habit for anyone.

BlackWind90 to highlight your point watch juices face when he beat omega. Real emotion and character that makes its so easy to go along for the ride. I love juice and i think his jab combo is wonky and his finisher is stupid, who cares, he oozes chatm and carries emotion into every match.

Yeah but even his moves work well into his character, he has a more american style that doesn't always seem to fit in a japanese style match, he's the guy that feels somewhat out of place and yet shows that he belongs with incredibly coragious performances....as he always says, with heart and nuts. That's who Juice Robinson is and as you said, he has charisma and mic skills to go along with that. He'll never be the best in the world, but he is a guy you want in your company, that's for sure.

I think that he did click in NXT. His spot was just different. When he left his spot was replaced with Tye Dillinger. Tye eventually got over with his character but NXT/WWE still didn't want him as a talent that actually wins. Basically Juice is in a "better" position in NJPW.

NJPW has really been very entertaining to watch with all the wrestling matches they present and it is really what I've been looking for because,at least for me,I am just so burnt out with all the 15-20+ mins. long storytelling promos and shenanigans that you usually get when you watch RAW and SmackDown Live. If WWE wants to stand in the middle of the ring and jaw then best do that BS on some pre-show or post show instead of wasting valuable air time where you should be putting on some good matches. That is why WWE superstars gets mostly hurt because they all spend way too much time being everything else instead of in-ring competitors.
