Information is harder to find than I thought, just did a search my self, but from what I found (which was dated, I'm not sure if it has changed) the Castlevania Legends games starring Sonia were completely removed from the continuum. Also, looking back, I need to be careful how I phrase things. My first comment just sounds rude =/

@MastaGambit I did already know this, but that doesn't really matter at all. He's a fantastic character and it doesn't make much of a difference what canon he's in. When I say "series" I am referring to all Castlevania games, not just the ones that fit into the official timeline.

Actually the story now is that Leon Belmost is the first in the line of the clan and Sonia is still in the story as far as I know and although it is diluted, the belmonts after Sonia and Alucard got together get some of their powers from their vampire side. That is why Trevor Belmont was banish from his town, because the locals were frightened by his power.

@GarthMcCreery True. Alone, Trevor is probably the weakest of the Belmonts in terms of single-handed powers. Hell even Christopher had the flame whip. :p But when it comes to alliances, Trevor was probably the best at it, being able to ally with Grant, Sypha and Alucard.

Simon was not the original vampire killer, Sonia was. they just ousted her from the timeline 'cus they didn't want the Belmonts to be part Vampire. The Belmonts were descendants of Alucard till the retcon. Google it if you don't believe me.

@Nintendawgz Sorry to dissapoint you pal The original Vampire Killer was Leon and yeah since Sonia's timeline has been removed coz of her son and Alucard being the father im glad they removed it coz if they add it to the timeline the story has so many flaws for example if Alucard was the belmont ancestors probably Shanoa would not appear on OOE its because a lot of belmont were alived at that time why? they have a blood of vampire which make them immortal.....that is why they removed it..FLAWS

I really hate what they did to the Castlevania series. Filling it all with this anime crap and just making them Metroid clones. If I wanted to play Metroid, then I would just play Metroid. When will Castlevania be Castlevania again? (If you have something hateful to say to me, keep in mind this is all just opinion) If you like the Metroidvania games, good for you. Some of them are good, but it's just nothing like what made the originals stand out.
