Don’t get me wrong having fans is pretty cool, but sometimes there are fans that just go way over the border line and try to force something on the actor which is why they then get uncomfortable. I mean fans should know how to respect these people since they are still humans and want some privacy. Don’t be those type of fans that are always shoving for an autograph or waving your phone in front of them or stalking them and video recording them. A simple hello is just enough and if your polite enough you may get an autograph but don’t scream or overreact, just stay cool and there won’t have to be necessary conflict

That last line "I love being me" is the heart of the message more than "I love the fame." Because if you're doing it just for the fame and compromising on what really resonates with your heart, then you will end up depressed in the long run. When I was a small child, perhaps 1st grade, I always wanted to write Will a letter, but never knew how.. So I never got too, but who knows maybe you see this Will. The goal was to ask you in the letter what I needed to study in college for you to give me a job. Anyways, you were one of those people who I was able to explore so many facets through, and you unequivocally played some role in shaping my current life. Cheers "Mr. Smith."

@hollow. I don't think you're talking to me? because it said there was 2 replies but I only see yours, so I'm under the impression someone wrote something nasty, and deleted it.. I'll air on the side of caution though, and just point out my letter had nothing to do with wanting handouts, even early on I've always wanted to actually earn and deserve my accomplishments. Cheers. *edit* I do hate that there are suffering people in this world, and I hope they triumph past it. My initial comment was something I wanted to write over 20 years ago.. Just felt nice finding a way after all these years to check it off the list. If Mr Smith even sees it, awesome, if not, I understand.

When he said "I love being me" I got it. His life is congruent with what he wants, and if not he strives to get there. It is in line with his personality, who God made him to be. He's not living a life that bores him but one he likes to have and chose to work towards. I hope I can have a life congruent with who I am in every sense. Right now I know I'm living below my wants, needs and potential. I'm making changes going in that direction. Here's to coming back to this comments years later and hoping I can say "I love being me".

It helps to have a system for keeping most people at a safe distance. Will hit the nail on the head when he said "you have to learn how to fight and defend yourself from predators." I've had a small dose of fame a few years ago. If you have Discord or social media, you know you're experiencing a bit (or a lot) of fame, people will start approaching you. Don't accept friend requests from people you don't know. The only thing more dangerous than a troll is a fan, and especially a fan that has no self-control. I've been harassed online by a 13-year-old demon from Macedonia, simply because I'm friends with some famous KZbinrs from southeast Europe. People have tried to use me as a stepping stone in order to get to these other friends I have. It sucks, and it's not easy to shake some of these people off because of how obsessive they people can be once they find out that you're famous. First, they chase you, then they touch you, and then they sue you because you pushed them away. That's something every big celebrity can probably relate to. I hope that one day, I can educate large numbers of people on the needs, the rights and ways of celebrities, so that less people will misunderstand them when they act the way they do. It's a hard life sometimes because of the constant pressure they face from the public.
