Sick Online Poker, durrrr vs. luckexpress10

luckexpress10 was being dominated by durrrr, so he asked to flip (all-in pre) because he "can't win normally". Pretty sick. That 55 hand made me cringe, that has to tilt you slightly.
luckexpress also said he was drunk, why play when your drunk? Stupid. Apparently luckexpress10 is a rich Italian guy. durrrr = Tom Dwan.

It's the exact same odds. One starts with 200k the other starts with 12.5k. Let's say it's first to win 200k from the other person. The odds of Luckexpress winning 4 in a row on each buy in is 1/16. So in a perfect world he will buy in 15 times which is 187,500. Durr will be sitting with 387,500 when Luckexpress buys in for his last 12,500. He will win his 4 in a row and be back up to 200,000. Now they both stake 200,000 for 200,000 with a 1:1 shot. It's a coinflip

To everyone arguing, Dwan has the most chances of profiting. Every time he doubles Luck, he takes it all back at one point and luck buys back in for 12K. That means Dwan gets 12K every time that he busts luck. So unless Luck doubles up 3-4 times in a row and leaves, Dwan doesn't lose as long as he wins a hand. Assuming a "flip" 50-50 chance, Dwan will most likely profit.

Jimmy's right. Why do you think the house always wins in roulette or blackjack? The person with the most money has a big advantage. Let's say you had $1 and the other guy had $20. You would have to get lucky and win 4 times in a row at 50% chances to get even. If you lose just once your back to 0. But the person with the big stack can just keep playing till he wins and win it all. If that made any sense.

You say he has 1/16 to win this "thing". Well that means that he has 1/16 equity of ~160k which is ~10k every hand in all 4 hands. This would be the same equity if they flip for 10k each every hand. So in the long run it doesnt matter. If it was a tournament Dwan would have had the edge to win the tournament, but since its a cash game and they flip everytime no matter how they do it they both have 10k equity :)

in this case you are not using equity the right way. Take anybody to play with and play by these rules: 1) you buy in 1k they buy in 15k 2) you flip every hand and you can only buy in 1k every time you loose 3) realize that was stupid because unless you game coincides with the second coming of Jesus you DO NOT have the same long term equity and can't win

@trebot21 the point of this thing(which in the end worked) is to have luckexpress enough chips to face dwan, there was one time where both had around 200k, and mathematically the longer they do this the more chance they get when dwan will have same money he started with and luckexpress willh ave all the money he invested but not with the max12k limit but together as in 200k

House does always win at roulette, no matter how much money you have. the longer you play, the more the house will win on average. they will win a percentage of every dollar you bet If you had infinite money, you could theoretically just play endlessly until you had all the casinos money on a huge once-in-500 million years- luck streak, but practical concerns like time and actually having infinite money make that unlikely.
