I would certainly consider using the covers made by your daughter as cushions for a rear seat. I think your skills could fab up a frame. I am awaiting delivery of mine from Ian for my M38. Thanks for the fun. :-)

@@fastdadgarage-northsouthch4418 Mine CJ3B is from Mitsubishi brand. 1956 build. The seat fabric was changed by brand new i 1974 (my dad). I have to start thinkin on a renewal operation! :D

Next time heat up a nail or punch to make hole in fabric..it will cauterize the hole to keep it from ripping later.

nice set up ! has your fire company had a quiet safe winter this year ?

Yes it’s been very quiet at the FD. Had a few assists with neighbor departments. I like it quiet, but you can’t beat having a call for training and keeping skills fresh.

I'm always learning something from your channel. Thank you. It looks like your daughter may have an upholstery business in her future. Question: Will you be installing seat belts? I know it's not original but I'm thinking of it from the safety standpoint. I did finally get my '64 and will be sending you pictures soon. Thanks again. Take care and be safe.

michael wier- can’t wait to see it. I install them in all my old projects, for ORV permit I believe you have to have them in Michigan.

Very nice seats, and they look sturdy too. Too bad you couldn’t use the covers that your daughter made. It looks like she knows what she’s doing. Must run in the family!

I recently bought seat covers/foam like these from Ian at bigwillyjeep.com for my CJ3A. They are pretty well made...however i think to property reupholster seats (that will last) one should use 1/2" Dacron (spun polyester fabric) between the foam and the covering (in this case, Cordura). Ian's seat-covers do not come this way, so i added Dacron myself. I think for $250 they should come this way. See this video how to add Dacron: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKGyZq2Kqplqd9E . I have upholstered many old car seats and furniture and the Dacron really helps make them last and look good! -Steve K in Montana
