The Hotchkiss M20, a licensed copy of the Willys MB, was the standard light utility vehicle used by the French army from immediately after World War 2 until the 1980s, when it was phased out of service. In France, it is commonly referred to as "La Jeep." Hotchkiss also made licensed copies of the Willys CJ3B.
