From my experience, waaaay back in the late 90's I bought a Wilson A2000 H-web in black, pretty glove and very light, well I tried to love the glove but it kinda have this toasted feel, it was painful to open and close, so I sold it and bought a HOH gold glove (4 dots) and 20 years later I still have it, the only thing is these gloves have 0 padding so you better know what you are doing when fielding.

I have both the Wilson A2000 (13") and Rawlings HOH (12.75"). I prefer the Rawlings. The A2000 is very stiff out of the box. Takes much longer to break in but it's great once fully broken in. It's also more straight up and not as deep in the pocket. The Rawlings HOH just has a wonderful feel right out of the box with a deeper wider pocket. Easy break in. The glove gobbles up the ball and has a great sound when the ball hits the pocket. I also like the leather better on the Rawlings. You can't really go wrong with either but dollar for dollar I prefer the Rawlings.

Sure I can see how u like the leather more on the A2000 but there is no way you can say it is better just by feeling it like that, sure it might have a better feeling against your skin (which is 100% personal what you think is most comfortable) but the real quality in the leather is its durability. Like how fast it gets worn out and how it holds its shape etc. But cred to you for taking your time and giving your best effort to make this video :) And keep this in mind if you are going to do another glove review some time :)

I will say Wilson breaks in quicker and feels comfortable but when you break in the Rawlings gloves they feel way more comfortable then when you first got them and Rawlings is more durable than Wilson. I had an A2000 in little league and my second year with it the laces snapped and it broke. I use Rawlings now and have had the same glove for 4 years

Yeah it is ... He couldn't have possibly went more out of his way to make it look less appealing (never seen a glove broken in like that) and it still looks amazing. I pulled the trigger on one a few weeks ago. Rawlings.com has a few HOH gloves on sale from $259 to $199 which imo is a solid deal ... Still working it in (I'm patient, only way to break in a glove the right way is constant catching ... No oils out microwaves here thank you) ... It's my first one and couldn't be happier, and the aesthetic with the brown/black and red decal looks pretty sick ... If you pull the trigger, so long as you're not 2B/SS and it's not too competitive, I'd opt for the 11.75" over 11.50" ... Doesn't sound like much but it actually makes a pretty big difference. If u was turning double plays and paying competitively I'd go smaller but I'm just coaching, playing catch with the occasional game here and there.

I think Wilson would do so much better if they would offer more color patterns like Rawlings does! Wilson doesn’t have much to choose from and to be honest the majority of them are ugly. I don’t want to wait 6-8 weeks for a custom glove. Offer more traditional color choices in A2k and A2000, better quality laces and Wilson will put Rawlings to shame.

Rawlings is way better. My son got a custom Rawlings HOH and we compared it to a new Mookie Betts A2K glove, the Rawlings is way nicer and formed a perfect pocket. I also have a Rawlings HOH and my older Wilson A2000, the Rawlings has nicer leather and holds up great. If you are buying a custom glove, get the Rawlings, the attention to detail is amazing. I have compared the custom HOH to a custom Wilson and the Rawlings is nicer.
