Not only WOULD I carry the EDC X9, but I DO carry it daily. I want my defensive tool to be the most reliable, most accurate, most "shootable" gun that I can comfortably carry and conceal.

Very nice premium pistol. There's a few innovations in the frame. Made from aluminum and lighter weight compared to steel. The grips and serrations are machined to keep the profile slim for a double stack 1911. Strong and slick design. Like a Rolex watch. It's for the people that know what it is. I'd get a Wilson Combat over a Rolex and the Staccato. You can also find them used and save quite a bit. Interesting the Staccato feels better for you. Would like to see comparison target groups. As someone who used to shoot a Wilson pistol in competition (and deeply regrets ever selling it), you'd better BELIEVE I would carry the Wilson if I could afford it.

@@travismassengale4923 yes, I hate the U notch rear sight. I switched it out for an after market one that has a fairly narrow square notch. I compete with my carry gun so I needed more precision...makes a huge difference.

I have the EDC X9 and love it. Have not carried it YET, but only because I'm on the fence about the size and weight--not the cost. I carry a single stack (either 9mm shield or G42) because much more comfortable. However, this pistol begs to be carried. Also, it can certainly be used for home defense. Mine is regularly employed in that role. Phenomenal pistol. Great shooter. That said, the Staccato P is great too. It may be my next pistol. My LGS had one; I debated purchasing it for about a week, went back to get it, but someone beat me to the punch--much to my chagrin.

Easy answer to your question is yes i would and did spend 3k on the wc edc x9l. That staccato is nice... but the fact that the wc is prettier, has no grip safety and almost certainly is lighter and feels better in the hand the real question is why spend 2k when for 1k more you could get quite possibly the finest saa 9mm pistol in the world. ( bold statement i know but what can i say)

I agree 100% although I am a Wilson fan (I have 5 traditional 1911’s and 2 EDC X9’s with an SFX 9 in 4” and 5” on order). I have shot so many guns - and I agree that this gun EDC or SFX are the best handguns ever made. You get an incredible gun that will absolutely outlast you, backed by a great company with great people, you just can’t go wrong.

I want an ACW Prime Elite, abt 3600, wilson will have to wait till after, but I would carry it everyday. Price isn't a concern for carry, reliability and functionality are all that concern me.

I realize this is an old video but I was looking at these guns earlier and came across your video. I don't buy guns that I don't carry. I carried a 1911 in the military in the early 80s and back then I didn't know it was too heavy to carry. But I have been informed now that is too heavy to carry. Who knew? Anyway yes I can carry a 1911 today. I can carry either one of these guns. In the video. I'm just trying to decide which one I would want.

First of all, thank you very much for your service to our country. You can’t go wrong with either one. Depends on budget and which one feels better in your hand. The best would be to have the opportunity to shoot them both before you buy one, but these are not usually found in a rental counter at a gun range. I would love to know which one you end up with. Impressive pistol, with an anbi safety and stainless steel frame and slide bead blasted (low glare) would be even better, personal opinion. Front slide serrations should be 1.5cm back on the slide, seem a good patern. The rail is a good feature. Probably one of the best pistol on the market, great choice👍

I'm not sure why your questioning whether or not someone would carry the Wilson Combat as an EDC? One that's what the gun was made for! Two it doesn't matter how much the gun cost, if you pay 3,000 dollars for that gun because of it's speed, accuracy, conceal ability and reliability, why then would it matter the cost? You pay that much for a gun to make sure it can save your life but then you leave it home because well I paid 3 grand for that I don't want to mess it up! Well, you pay 20 grand for a car, you going to leave that home and catch the bus? Damn right I'm going to carry it because it's proven to be a reliable gun and if my life is on the line, it doesn't matter what the price of the gun is as long as that gun can do what says it can do, damn right it's going down as a EDC. It's small enough, concealable enough, reliable, accurate and fast. The only question is how good is the person carrying it? Damn right I'll carry it and you better be carrying it too...Lmao! Yes I would carry a $3000 pistol. Heck I'd carry one costing triple that if I could afford it. I'm not afraid of getting my property taken as evidence or my ability of getting it back. It wouldn't be a Wilson though. I'm not impressed by their mags let alone their guns. The one thing that idiot "yankee marshall" said, that I agree with is, it's a tool to save your life and money, value and frugality should never enter into it. Get the best you can.
