I too noticed the bags of fertilizer. Looks to me to be more eco friendly as the is no dust cloud tipping it into the trucks. Much less to contaminate tidal waters. Much quicker too I would imagine. 👍👍👍

@@robertbate5790 yes I agree - when they use the grabber crane it goes everywhere- the roads are covered. When it’s grain the big fat pigeons love it. 😊

if the fertilizer comes here in the big white bags what does the cement come in? I don't remember seeing how its unloaded, is it in big bags or loose dust or small bags?

I should let the clever dudes answer this. I believe the cement is discharged via a huge suction tube at times, but may also be in the same large bags on occasions. I’m sure someone will correct me.

Cement is always offloaded/loaded via a big tube which is loose dust. i don't think they ever do bags at all as you wouldn't be able to get much in each bag as how much it weighs.

Small sacks of cement are often stowed in 1 ton jumbo bags. Don't know if they handle it this way at Sharpness though.
